Everything was wonderful. Between 4 of us we had pulled pork, ribs, and chicken. Nobody had brisket but no doubt it was outstanding as well. The sides weren’t just afterthought, they were very complimentary. I’ve been to Pappys in St.Louis and Central in Memphis and Jacks here rates with Pappys, and holds its own with Central BBQ. The atmosphere was terrific, workers were very friendly, and helpful for us out of towners. Also, they were cheerful, they seemed to enjoy themselves. Easy 5 stars.
On our way home and we found this little spot right outs ide Nashville headed back to STL. Reviews looked good so we stopped in. Lots of awards walking in the door. Love to see that. You know your in a place where craftsmanship can be expected to be top notch. Ordered the brisket and two sides for a good price in this day and age. Hige servings of Mac N Cheese and Apples. Wife ordered the pork shoulder. Corn bread or toast are options. Cornbread please and thank you. 6 or 7 different sauces that all were pretty good. Meat was really good. Glad we stopped in and if you are traveling and need a quick stretch with some really good food. It's just north of Nashville and 5 minutes off. You can be in and out 20 mins with kids. Great experience!
Great food....however....all the staff...needs to be either fired or go through some job edict training in the food business. I have not been to a restaurant establishment that all of their workers seemed to hate their jobs. Don't act like it's hard work to give me what I wanted for sides. No drinks were even offered and went we went to ask, we were treating very disrespectfully by the staff member with red braided hair. Workers playing Nintendo switch
So good!!! All the raving about the brisket is no exaggeration. Sides are delicious meals in themselves. One kids meal could feed all your kids. Seriously. (See photo)
I heard Tennessee had the best bbq food and it’s true true true. I’m from California here for work and man I was happy my hotel is by one of the best bbq restaurants in Nashville… great job jacks bbq I’ll be back for sure before I leave back home too Los Angeles.
We each got a platter (meat of choice, cornbread, and 2 sides) so we got to sample quite a bit. Cannot complain about a thing! Service was fast, and food was hot and delicious. Good portions. It was an early dinner and we sincerely regretted not getting an extra platter to go to snack on later.
This is really good barbecue. Some of the best around in this location is really friendly and easy to get to. Their menu is easy to operate you don't have a hard time figuring out what you want to get when you show up for the first time. They have a lot of Booth seating and a lot of pictures on the wall to look at. Plan on spending anywhere from $12 to $18 per person. Their portion sizes are really big I would recommend getting the pulled pork sandwich it's about $8 and is excellent and huge
Ribs pack was more then enough food for our teenage boy and I. Mac & cheese was great. Ribs were falling off the bone. Rub was just a little too much.
We normally don't go for dry ribs, but they were FANTASTIC. Cooked to perfection, moist and falling off the bone. The pulled pork and brisket were also some of the best that we ever had,
Great place, if there were fewer stems in the greens it would be perfect! I'm not a big fan of the corn bread, but it's ok. My Grands love the sides Mac cheese, sweet potatoes, green beans & fried apples!!! They're vegetarians, but I like all the meat options!! Go Enjoy ? I don't have pics this time sorry!
