Plenty of food in a ‘cool’ and comfortable venue. You’ll wait in a long line… but it moves quickly. Order and pay for your food and then find a table. The food is good. There are options that are gluten free which is great (all the meats and some of the sides). The staff took care to clean the work space before preparing/cutting my meat.

Just writing this review is making my mouth water. We had flown to TN on family business, and we were there on Sunday, Apr. 10th. I thought I had had really good bar-b-que before, but I couldn't have been more wrong. We had the beef brisket and the pork shoulder with coleslaw, mac and cheese and the corn bread. Oh, my goodness, we were in BBQ heaven. When you are walking up to the place, the smell of the Bar-B-Que just fills the air, and you can't wait to get in there to eat. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat.

Not a big fan of the Broadway scene, but this place made the visit worth while. The ribs were amazing. We had a great meal and would definitely return on another trip to Nashville.

I also bought 4pack of sauces and dry rub. Very nice kit. I had ribs and brisket yummy. The pie was buttermilk custard OMG AMAZING. My husband also enjoyed JACKS AS WELL !! Thank you to a great hard working team at JACKS who has a lot of customers.

We were looking for a lunch place away from the noise of the live music and happened upon Jacks , There was a line but it moved along quickly, We ordered the 2 meat combo Brisket for me and Turkey for the wife along with mac and cheese and the cucumber salad. Headed up to the second floor where we dined and were able to hold a conversation without yelling across the table. The Brisket was delicious and so was the turkey. They also have a second flor sauce station and bar if you need a little something else. We would recommend giving this place a try.

I usually make a stop here when in Nashville. The meat is freshly cut as you go thru the cafeteria style line. I had the pork shoulder with cole slaw and baked beans. There are several sauce choices. Side servings could be larger.

The bar next door ran out of food (pizza), so we stopped in here. This is a really small place if you don't count the 2nd floor. honestly, I don't know what it up there as I did not take a look. We were here on a Tuesday night, and even though Broadway was crowded with people, there was only one other customer here. My friend had a BBQ sandwich, I just had a beer. Frankly, this place seems rather run down and far past it's prime as a legendary eatery. The decor inside is interesting and there are old photos hanging on the walls from its historic past. (See my photo of the interior)

I didn’t actually eat at Jack’s this trip but I ordered from there and had it at my hotel. I had been to Jack’s before during previous trips to Nashville and I couldn’t leave without having some of their great food. I had my favorite - the smoked turkey plate with two sides - and it was just as good as I remembered it. Great value for money, too. Highly recommend.

Great food - fast service (even with a line out the door!). We tried it all. Pork, brisket, turkey - all fantastic.

My wife and I were looking for some decent BBQ while visiting Nashville. We tried to avoid the tourist places and found this place because of the flying pig sign. We are SO glad we came in! My wife loved her Tennessee pork shoulder. I ordered the Texas beef brisket and as I ordered, the chef pulled a full brisket out of the oven, and sliced it easily in half. My mouth started to water right there. Simply out, it was the BEST brisket I have ever eaten! No question. Everything else there was great and the staff very friendly and nice! BRAVO!!
