When asked if you had to chose your last meal today, what would you choose my answer 6/7 days of the week is pho (I will occasionally respond street tacos if I am moody). That being said, I consider myself a pho connoisseur and make it a point to find the best pho in a city. Having recently moved to Nashville I have just begun that journey and this is the third place I have been to so far (Pho Annes, Saigon Palace, and now here). In terms of the pho alone, this was the best so far. When considering ambiance, and if you are eating at the restaurant, I would say Pho Annes would be the better pick.Ambiance: 1/5, very small, not the cleanest, TV was crazy loud, but really seems like a take out place anyways. but pho is not about the ambiance for me its purely for the food. Would recommend just doing take out, problem solved.Pho:Broth: 5/5, he even gave it cold rather than reheating then us again reheating at homemeat: 4/5, large amount was given so thats a bonusnoodles: 5/5, not overcooked, reheated perfectlyTo-go packaging: 4/5 (everything packed well and tight but no hoisin sauce/chili oil was given on side)Pricing: 5/5Bahn Mi:Bread: 3/5 slightly soggy by the time we got home (10 min drive)Pickles: 3/5, cucumber was not pickled and quantity was smallmeat: 2/5, very small amount not super flavorfullprice: 5/5 - was 4-5$Cons: no cha gio (crispy rolls) on menu, bahn mi was slightly soggy and not much meat at all but very cheap, mainly a take-out only place, only 1 type of pho (beef)pros: very reasonably priced - bahn mi was like 4-5$ and pho 13$, large amount, well packaged, broth had incredible flavorOverall this was my favorite pho so far but definitely a to-go only sort of place with very limited menu. Will 100% be going back and as long as im not in the mood for cha goi this will be to go place.
Came for the pho and I was not displeased..!Very quick service and friendly staff..!I will be going back for my pho fix..!
Good food, good prices.
Ordered a Number 1 sandwich and it was great. It seemed like a nice family business except for some reason the older person got cranky when I ordered.
Order to go food, and the broth soup was cold, not warm is really really cold soup, I have to cooked, the owner didn't know how to proceed the credit card machine, he charged me 5 times on 3 different credit cards, THIS IS FRAUD. The food is nothing special, just regular Vietnamese food, and the pricing is average (price are changed, each noodle soup is $12), I rather go to more professional and how to runs a restaurant business.
The price increased a lot but the food is smaller than before.
Went here because of the amazing reviews we read but left the place disappointed. The place is filthy, fingerprints on the soup ladle(spoon?), floor and tables felt sticky, a guy came out of the kitchen with flour all over his shirt and wiped the table with a dirty rag, they got my order wrong, the bun rieu was too oily, not sure what kind of meat they put, the meatball(crab?) was obviously stale, odd sickly green discoloration and the tofu had a weird ashy taste, The vegetable they give for Pho was not fresh, the onions were discolored due to oxidation we thought they were fried at first. They need to do a thorough quality control on their supplies and scrub that place down to oblivion, they need to have that place inspected by health inspector... I'm gonna go get tested for whatever food borne illness I might have contracted.
Small family owned Vietnamese deli -- perfect for a quick lunch!Very delicious banh mi, despite being only $4.50! I got the lemongrass tofu and grilled pork banh mis and both were fantastic! There are also a selection of homemade Vietnamese goodies like banh chung (sticky rice with pork), fish cakes, egg tarts, meat pies, flan, pandan jelly, and sugar cane juice! Will be trying the noodle soup options (like pho and bun rieu) during my next visit!
Coming from the West Coast I wasn't too sanguine about my chances of finding some good Pho here in Nashville, because why? There's no decent Chinese food so why should I get my hopes up?Tried a couple of places that were third rate if I am being generous. But my wife came in for some tofu here and decided to take a chance on their Pho it was terrific we had two kinds of meat and the usual vegetables and rice noodles on the broth was perfectly seasoned so that when we got it home and reheated it was really good. Sometimes you wander into a place not knowing what to expect and you get lucky. Portions were large and the place is the definition of unprepossessing to say the least. Some very interesting tofu also.
Limited menu. They definitely cater to Vietnamese. But the spicy beef pho was the bomb. I also wanted a sandwich, they were out of what I wanted. He recommended Korean bbq sandwich. The meat was tuff.
