I made a reservation 2 months in advance via email for a private party, as per the instructions the restaurant gave me. Emailed credit card and reservation info and received a reply so of course I thought we were all set. Found out that day they were not going to honor the reservation and was told they were full so we could not dine there after planning on a family birthday celebration. The events coordinator said they had never confirmed it and that we would have had to sign a contract, but they never sent me one. I still cannot figure out what I was supposed to do to confirm, there was no apology for the miscommunication but the attitude was that it was my fault. Very unprofessional and disappointing, to say the least.
Such a great spot for date night! The ambiance and decor were beautiful. We ordered a selection of oysters from the raw bar, crab dip, and the seared scallops. The oysters were fresh and prepped really well. The crab dip was generous and I liked that it wasn't just all filler. However, I do wish that it came with more than 4 pieces of bread, since there was a lot of dip to get through. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I loved the sauce and potatoes it came with.
We knew we wanted to try new food in our second trip to Nashville. This place was on my list because I love oysters and fish dishes. They have both raw and roasted oysters, and most sourced from the US coasts, but not the common ones we get in Chicago. We also tried the red snapper crudo, which is like ceviche but SO much more interesting. Beet salad was pretty good but I thought it was a weird mix of flavors. Where's the beets? My husband loved the Poppy's Caviar, especially the flavorful vinaigrette that comes in the center of it. We both enjoyed our entrees, and the soft shell crab was especially good. Wish it came with a pair (they are small) so they could be shared. You will probably need a reservation ahead of time.
I'm a brunch connoisseur, and this was just so wonderful. I'm not a fan of Monkey Bread (usually too sweet, canned biscuits, etc.), but our wonderful waitress gently led us to it. It's extraordinary. It's essentially delicious fresh-made brioche drizzled wish fresh orange glaze. My husband had to fight me for it. No way I can do justice to the cured trout toast in this review. Every flavor was balanced, perfect and delicious. Bloody Mary was lovely, service exceptional, beautiful light-filled space. This restaurant deserves every bit of the accolades it is receiving.
We had brunch at the Bar! Great atmosphere, great staff, great food and Drinks! Bon appétit !
Outstanding food! Great cocktail options. Just go!
This restaurant claims their menu items are shareable which means entrees are served in a staggered fashion. Of course, this seems to promote subpar service. If anyone in your party has nut allergies, this is not the place to dine since most of the food is prepared with nuts. Even though the staff was told a member of our party had nut allergies, his entree was still loaded with pistachios. Unfortunately this also impacts sharing entrees. While some of the food was good, my shrimp entree was entirely too salty. I was done with it after a few bites. The restaurant is attractive and modern with a lively vibe. Love the aesthetics but it's a shame the restaurant is way too loud to have a conversation. Overall, we had a rather negative experience.
Henrietta Red is incredible. Great wine menu, amazing oysters, fresh seafood— all served in a stunning environment. However, I also wanted to leave this 5 star review because we ate dinner the other night and had Fletcher as our server, and he went above and beyond to help us with suggestions, check on us, and provide an incredible experience. If you happen to be seated in Fletcher’s section— lucky you! He’s so kind and awesome!! ????
Probably the most unusual combination of foods yet simple in number of ingredients so the foods compliment each other. Absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing and satisfying. Everything so fresh and surprising. I actually loved the raw oysters and caviar, which I normally have difficulty eating. The environment is lively, fun yet it was easy to carry on a conversation.
Sunday Brunch, the okonomiyaki was very good; the hamburger was exceptionally good. Service was awesome , our waiter was informative and attentive.
