The wings were great. The gizzards were good too. But we were disappointed by the wait time especially since the cook got our orders all the way messed up. They need a kitchen manager or something. Just seemed disorganized and that’s the last thing I’m looking for when I want to enjoy a nice Sunday out with family.
Hot and flavorful! The catfish and fried okra were both so good. I will definitely be back.
For some reason I didn't find the atmosphere appealingThe food presentation didn't quite cut it too.The chicken is fair at bestI'm afraid I won't post the photos I have.Just needs a bit of work with the presentation. Soggy and kinda messy. And is it really hot chicken? Didn't quite figure what it tasted like and honestly been here three times and I've still got the same complaints. The environment needs a bit of tidying as well.Thanks.
I got the chicken breast combo and chose Hot and my Husband got Hella Hot. We both enjoyed and thought they were really good. The only down side was probably the wait time for the food. The staff were friendly and very helpful when ordering.
French fries were soggy, way over seasoned and just remnants. (Runts). And no napkins. And I think I was missing a side. But the chicken was great and hot even though I was 10 min late to pick it up.
I heard about hot chicken before arriving to Nashville and I just has to try it. I was definitely in for a tasty surprise! I ordered the chicken breast sandwich combo (included the sandwich, a side, and a drink). The meal was delicious!! I highly recommend!
This is my favorite Place for ? chicken ?... I have been a faithful customer before they had their first brick and mortar spot on Jefferson St. The atmosphere is great and the food is still good. I'm not a bone in type of person therefore I have always ordered The Brest tender combo majority of the time.. I have tried the fish once which I wasn't impressed by but to each their own... They have expended their menu since the beginning and The Mango Tea is Off the Chain (Really Good) My biggest dislike about the beginning of their opening is that When you place a Call I'm /Carry out order you have to pay for the food via Credit card or before you pick up your food. Which I fully understand that now considering that some people Don't show up to get their order and looking at the way that Technology has progressed these days via GrubHub and UberEATS.. Overall I still love Helens and With that being said I've tried Hattie B's once and I wasn't impressed at all compared to Helens!!!
Picked up there for a client and the nice lady, as busy as she was, made time for me. Me specifically, because I didn't want to cancel an order. She made it happen!
Went during lunch and had to wait 20 mins to place an order. The employees were friendly. I ordered their hottest and it wasn't that hot. The cashier even told the cook to "double dip and scrape on the bottom" to let him know I wanted it as hot as it gets. Even still, heat level was 4/10. Food was fresh and good, just wish it was a little hotter.
This chicken is delicious! It’s crunchy, juicy and flavorful. They are pricey though. Also, they’re on Uber Eats but they charge a grip on there. On Uber east, 6 wingettes with fries and soda is $18.19 but $12.99 in the store. It’s delicious though. Also, the fries were good, as well as the shrimp and okra too. The downside is the wait. I don’t know what kind of fryers they got but it takes forever for your food. You could be there an hour waiting for 6 wingettes and fries. That’s insane. So if you go, either order ahead or prepare for an extended wait.
