The food was great but the customer service was just okay .There is just one person attending all the tables which can get messy if it gets busy .Even with just a few guests it took for ever to get a glass of water for usAlso , she didnt let us sit at a table next to the window saying it was reserved but clearly no one came till we leftThe food was a solid though. We got the vegetable and meat combo along with the traditional Ethiopian coffee.Really nice.If only the service can be improved, i will visit this place again.

I love authentic Ethiopian food and try it every place that I can. Gojo has some of the best Ethiopian food I've ever eaten. The price was fair, and the food was packed full of flavor and was served in a timely manner. The injera was perfect and now that I've been here, there is no reason at all to go anywhere else for Ethiopian food in Nashville.

It's really good. I'm not an Ethiopian food connoisseur, by any means, but previously lived somewhere with many Ethiopian restaurants. This place is as good as any other I have had.

First time eating Ethiopian food and it was delicious! This place is so cute, and the service is great. The coffee is absolutely fantastic! They roast the coffee beans and bring them out for to to small before they brew your coffee, just amazing.

Portions are a bit small. There are some staple dishes missing that I wish they had, and a meat combo would be nice. We wanted to do the jebena coffee ritual but the waitress said they weren't doing it anymore that evening. Not sure why, maybe too many in the dining area for the frankensence smoke? Tibs were pretty good. Injera had that nice earthy sourdough flavor and there was plenty of it. Service is friendly and they are consistent.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and what a treat it was to have that experience at Gojo! Everything was so fresh, flavorful and savory. If I had to pick a favorite thing off our plate, I'd be torn between the lentils and the greens. Thank yall for a wonderful dinner!

Delicious food! We got the beef tibs, the lentil appetizer, and the chicken rice curry dish. They were all so tasty. I’ve never experienced Ethiopian food and this was an amazing first time trying. I experienced new flavor profiles and spices in everything I tried. The service was a bit slow but I didn’t mind it since there was only one server and probably only one chef. The inside of the restaurant is very neat and they have some nice music playing. I loved the artwork on the walls. My experience was great and I’ll be back.

if you want super authentic ethiopian food and coffee, go to this restaurant! the service and the food were both fantastic. don’t be fooled by the looks of the outside— it’s a “hole in the wall” type place but kept very clean. i’m not from tennessee but i have friends there and they come to this restaurant often and have never had a bad experience.

If you've never tried ethiopian food you should give this place a try. It has good food and the teff bread is gluten-free naturally. I like spicy and they will make it for you if you can handle the heat. They also have traditional ethiopian coffee and hot tea. The lamb I had was delicious. Named one of Nashville's best restaurants this year.
