Can't believe I never made it here the 9 years I lived in Nashville! My BIG mistake! Such nice people, incredible hand made shakes, sadly, we had the last of the Zingers (phosphates soda), since the server said they don't sell enough & so they are discontinuing it. Since 1939. How can you go wrong with a place that not only survived, but, THRIVED that long in NASHVILLE! This isn't an easy city to please! With ever changing neighborhoods, a plethora of delicious food from all kinds of cultures, Ellison Place has always been a staple. We will DEFINITELY be back on our next trip! So many more things to try there! Love the walk up window! Love all the smiles from the staff!

We stayed in Nashville for 2 nights and ate at Elliston Place Soda shop 3 times! It’s hard to find a good meat and 3 and they did not disappoint. We had pot roast, meat loaf, and catfish. All 3 main dishes were excellent. The squash casserole was my favorite side dish. The vibe is fun and the staff was amazing! We’ll definitely return!

Excellent, but there are better meat and threes if that’s what you’re after! (Arnold’s) We went with the intention to try some more “soda shop” selections but once we looked at the menu we had to try some meat and three options. They were great! I had Turkey & Dressing and my sis had the chicken and dumplings. Both we’re very good. For sides we had turnip greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. All fantastic. We topped it off with milkshakes to-go which were also fantastic. I look forward to going back to try a burger or something more traditional to soda shops.

Found this place while staying with my stepmom during her chemo/cancer treatment. It was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing! I had several meals there, not a bad thing on the menu. Breakfast was very filling and dinner reminded me of my grandmom's cooking. Put it this spot on your to-do list!

Stopped here for brunch on a Thursday. We able to be seated right away - we requested the counter. The staff was all super friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was really good and not excessive in the portion size. I had the #2 - two eggs, two pancakes, turkey sausage and potatoes. My husband had the chicken and biscuits with the Nashville hot chicken and really enjoyed it. They are a soda shop and the sundaes and malts we saw going to tables looked amazing - we'll definitely go back for dessert!

I found this place after a few locals posted stories on Tiktok and I had to see for myself. Here's my take on this great restaurant. It is indeed very nostalgic and retro . This is obviously a favorite amongst the locals and it also draws in its own share of tourists hoping to find that perfect story to post on social media , I would politely suggest to be considerate of the staff and other diners privacy. All of the food was very tempting and I had a difficult time deciding what to order.I had the meat and three sides ( amazing )Get the pot roast ( 5 stars )The mashed potatoes were smooth creamy and delicious. The mac and cheese was also exactly what I hoped for. I also tried the creamed corn which was fresh and probably not canned . They do have a very good lineup of burgers and offer American Cheese cheddar cheese blue cheese Swiss cheese pepper jack cheese and also pimento cheese. They also have some really good add-ons such as bacon and fried egg , for fresh toppings they have tomato lettuce jalapeno peppers grilled or raw onions mushrooms and The Best coleslaw I've ever had on a burger.Try a milkshake they were absolutely amazing and I had a hard time deciding between the chocolate hot fudge butterscotch peanut butter coffee Butterfinger and Nutter butter. And for all you Old-Timers out there they also have malted option.I had a classic banana split as a dessert which was executed perfectly with chocolate strawberry vanilla covered with strawberry pineapple and banana whipped cream and cherries. Most of the menu is under $15 which gives incredible value. Also be sure to pick up some pie that is quite famous I'm sure you can get a whole pie for $25 but I think you might have to order that in advance ( especially the lemon meringue pie)Thanks to Linda the pie lady for those Delicious pies.Thank you to all the hard-working staff for making this place what it is.And a big thank you to all the great people that call Nashville home I really enjoyed my time there.I hope to come down again someday from Toronto Ontario.Travelers be sure to put this on your list of must dine establishments.

This place was awesome! The food was absolutely delicious and our server Andrea K. was so sweet and extremely good at her job.

Just GO! The service was so personable and the food was remarkable. The owner stopped by our table for a long chat. Get the special sauce for sure. Burger and fries and tots are fab! The hubs got a strawberry milkshake to go. We were offered a tour of the original fountain bar. So cool! Free parking. Great food. Just GO!

Grand daughter’s burger and fries were fresh, hot and tasty. Banana pudding was good. Saint Patty day theme was fun. Close to Centennial and Vanderbilt.

I ordered the meat and 3. The turkey and dressing was absolutely delicious! The turnip greens were tender and very good. The mashed potatoes were excellent but very small portion size. I would say I had maybe 3 tablespoons of potatoes with a big crater in the middle for the gravy. I did not care for the flavor of the brown gravy, it had a bad/rancid aftertaste for some reason so I poured it off. The squash casserole was pretty good also, not what I expected and more like a sweet corn pudding with squash in it but it was good and the portion was double that of the mashed potatoes. The only thing I did not like was the biscuit, too greasy and tough but that is my personal opinion, I like my biscuits soft and fluffy and not soaked in fat. My husband had the burger and did not care for it at all, he said it tasted like a frozen patty, but said the bun was good. Overall I enjoyed the food and the service was friendly although a bit slow since it was so busy. It is a very very loud environment and quite chaotic. Cool retro decor and I would return, perhaps on a weekday at a less busy hour.
