I love Cookout, typically go to the one near downtown/Vanderbilt. Never had a bad experience, but I went to the one in Goodlettsville while traveling back from somewhere and it was the worst experience. Ordered chicken nuggets and they only gave us two, ordered white cheddar bites and they literally only gave us one of those, ordered a hotdog and the whole thing was burnt and inedible, ordered a sprite and the whole thing was ice. We didn't get one sip out of it because there was no sprite in it. With the drive through wait and complete lack of food I don't know how things like that happen, but it is a waste of money and time and we were unable to eat anything because it was inedible or there wasn't any. So I guess check your bag before you leave the drive through.
I like the idea of Cook Out much more than the execution. Lots of unique food choices (Walkin’ Taco… wish I would’ve seen that before I ordered!) and the ability to get a quesadilla as a side with a burger seems like a good idea… I like that I can sub the soda for a milkshake for only a little $ extra. The milk shake would be the only item I’d consider returning for, however. Crinkle fries were of the soft and only-good-with-ketchup side. The counter service was friendly and the order was accurate. Service was extremely slow and as it turned out would’ve been about the same speed had we gone through the drive through versus going in. Overall, only go here if you are looking for fast food quality, a myriad of choices that are disappointing but filling, and you are willing to endure sit-down food wait times.
I ordered 2 plates and they were the wrong food. I got coleslaw as a side and it was just chopped cabbage and horribly dry. Then they gave me the wrong sandwich. I was taking lunch to my daughter or else I would have turned around and took the food back! We always have liked Cook Out, but they failed us yesterday!
We have been coming to this Cook Out for a while and we like coming here, but today I ordered some chicken nuggets and asked for Cook Out sauce. The menu board says the nuggets come with sauce, and I was looking forward to Cook Out sauce yumminess. When we drove away with our food, alas there was no sauce. My husband ordered cole slaw and he only got like half a cup and there weren't any utensils included with which to eat it. Other than that, a great experience.
I've heard nothing but good about Cook Out fast food places. First time stopping here. Went through the drive thru for a snack. The $1.99 BLT on bun didn't disappoint.
Never in my life have I experienced worst service…We were missing 2 items from our bag (not a huge deal) went to get it fixed.. the manager (pictured below) said she was beyond confident I was lying and refused to give us our food cause were “liars.”. (this is all over $2.25 ?)Moral of the story is I’d rather eat dirt than deal with this restaurant/lady again.
The manager at this location was extremely rude. We were charged $14 for all of the items we ordered & ended up receiving only chicken tenders and fries. We went to the window hoping to get our items & the manager freaked out at my bf. She claimed that we were scammers (even though we literally just left the drive through.) It took us a while to finally get our money back, and was not a pleasant experience. The manager was a young female with dirty blonde hair. She also seemed very high.
Workers are disrespectful as fu(k and wanted to fight because they messed our order up and expected us to pay for the difference. Made a milkshake wrong and wouldn’t make another unless we gave the wrong one back that was already drank. Worst restaurant wish somewhere else was opened till 3 am cause I’m considering driving 25 mins to whataburger every night.
Good food at a decent price. Staff is very friendly every time I go. Decent restaurant all the way around. 7/10 would recommend
This location is horrible. I'm posting this while in the drive thru(20 minutes now) why am I wasting my life? The whole time I've been here there have been 4 employees to go out to their cars to smoke. Some come and go multiple times. I don't think anyone is actually inside. I think they're all getting baked in the parking lot. I'm leaving...
