I was underwhelmed with food. It was good but not exactly for the price. The pizza pies were fair but just not what I expected for $25. Atmosphere is really cool and staff are great. The reservation rules and fees was a bit of an initial hesitation.

I am plant-based and unable to eat anything from the menu as is. I asked for a pizza with no cheese and no meat and only vegetables. And they charged me $20 for a handful of spinach, a few pieces of garlic and marinara sauce. My other friends got charged less for pizzas with marinara, several types of cheese and the belly of some animal. I spoke with the manager and she said the flour is organic, they use special tomatoes and work with local farms to get their produce and explained that’s why the price is what it is. I found this price to be unreasonable since I didn’t get any meat or dairy on the pizza and all the other pies also have the marinara, veggies and flour and meat and dairy!! The marinara wasn’t even good.I just think for such a simple pizza without ANYTHING special about it that the price is unreasonable. I was also not warned the price would be so much for getting so little on the pie. I told the manager I would not have purchased the pizza had I know they would charge so much and her only response was I’m sorry and I’ll make note of that. I didn’t feel that the customer service from this manager was appropriate for an upset customer. The atmosphere is loud and overwhelming. Our server Lucas was excellent, but the manger and pizza were subpar.I will not be returning.

This restaurant is phenomenal. The experience was a delight from start to finish. Our server was amazing - made great recommendations and was really passionate about the restaurant herself (which I believe always adds to the overall experience). We had a variety of items and everything was delicious. Interesting wines too. We had salad, pizza, entree and dessert - all shared. We can't wait to go back to this restaurant on our return trip to Nashville!!!

Great food and service at a great prices:)

We traveled in to town to meet a friend here. The three of us split the sweet potato pizza, catfish, and meatballs. Everything was beautifully balanced with seasonal ingredients. Our server gave excellent suggestions, including cocktails.

Fun spot...great service. Pizza was EXCELLENT. They could use better light management. We sat in the room with the pizza oven bar and it was really bright. Dimmers would help. The Sour Corn Cake starter was cold and not as good as it could be. We would give it another try though. The bar scene appeared lively. We'd prob sit in there and have a pie...

We had a big party when we came. Our server was awesome, I wish I got his name. The food was served family style. They brought the dishes in big servings and then we passed it around. I love all the food we had. But my favorite was the kale pizza. I didn't think kale will be good on pizza but it was surprisingly delicious. The dessert was served individually plated. It was a big slice of the coffee cream soda cake. Everything was delicious. The alcoholic beverages was also good. Overall great experience.

It had been several years since we'd been to City House, so I wanted to try it again. My husband tries to eat low carb, and we knew that the menu is a lot of pasta and pizzas, but he was willing to find something he'd enjoy, so I could try the pizza. He had a salad that was fresh, with a very bright and lemony dressing. My pizza was a disappointment. The outside crust was gorgeously puffed up and charred, but the dough in the center was nearly raw. Then, as I was eating it, in 15 minutes or less, it all was just chewy and not crispy at all. My husband was looking forward to his chicken, after seeing the table next to us get 2 juicy thighs, but he received a very dried out breast with no sauce on it. When he said something to the waiter, he shrugged and said that's how you have to cook chicken. A disappointing meal, and I doubt we'll ever go back.

Kamil was our server and he was an absolute gem. He took his time in telling us the wine selections and made amazing suggestions. We ordered the sour corn cake salad and catfish dish. Highly recommend!
