Delicious Lunch after Church
Great food. A little warm⦠Not sure if the air-conditioning just couldnât keep up in the 95° weather.
Classic French & just as good/better as experienced on our recent trip to France. Merci!
I come here a couple times per month with one of my French groups. Happy hour offers a $5 chardonnay or a house red, both of which I do enjoy. I typically don't eat (we are there to practice speaking, after all), but when I do, I am never disappointed. The ambiance is quiet and upscale, which is perfect for our needs. The only thing I don't like is I am not terribly thrilled with the service. We are usually waited on by the same person, and he is not very warm or friendly. Additionally, one time I was trying to leave and he was nowhere to be found (I had to venture into the kitchen to find him, and there were only 2 other tables with people in the entire restaurant). Other than that, I don't think you'll be disappointed! Cordially, Clayton Cohn
We dined at Chateau West for my birthday because it is one of my most favorite restaurants in Nashville. We practically had it to ourselves in July 5 but the food and service were wonderful as thought the place was full. Our daughter and her husband shared the château brian and it was a bountiful feast of delicious, well prepared beef served tableside. My wife had the filet and I had the bouillabaisse, both of which were also delicious although I would not recommend the bouillabaisse compared to the other offerings on the menu that we had this time and in previous visits. This is a hidden gem where a table is almost always available. at the time you want and the food and service are always good with reasonable prices.
Treated my friend to dinner - first visit for her. She loved it! Thank you!
Excellent from start to finish. First rate wait staff.
Birthday great food need a little background music
My guests and I dined at the Chateau. Service impeccable but less impressed with food. On positive side , guests did enjoy the onion soup and beef tartare apps. Guests also enjoyed the filet, beef shoulder and scallop entrees. I got the spinach salad. The dressing was extremely sour. One guest had sea bass. It is advertised as whole fish and comes as such but hoped staff would offer to at least partially debone. I got lamb chops. Thinly cut so really canât be prepared to order. Uninspired sauce. I asked for the green beans expecting something more like verts but they were fully mature tough beans and some still had stems. Be sure to specify type of bourbon when ordering drinks. Otherwise I think default is Jim Beam blend.
Friendly staff, good food, quiet and pleasant ambiance, we will be back for sure!
