Excellent cheese burger and fries! Although, the fries have changed. I am glad they are still there! So many of the old small restaurants that were really good have been forced to close.

This place is one of the last old nashville diner’s left. I believe they have the oldest liquor license in town. They have been around that long because they have the best burger in town. It’s a classic and the music is always a bonus!

Cool is how you define it I suppose. My experience at Brown's was thus. Recommended by someone in the know. Went with a girlfriend had several beers and two terrific hamburgers. Not joking on that, old school flat top grill burgers that tasted right out of 1957. Outstanding. Talked to the bartender, asked about other cool spots. He suggest we stay as Dave Olney was coming in to play. Frankly, I thought he was b.s.ing. But sure enough an hour or so later the late, great Dave Olney came in, set up five feet from us and did three sets of unforgettable music. He sat beside at the bar between sets and chatted. Asked my girlfriend if she was his Walmart check out girl. She told him no and he said it was a shame. She was beautiful too but he had always hoped she didn't have a big boyfriend. Great, funny guy who is missed. Anyway, you won't be able to see Dave but they are famous for the people who walk in and play. So cool? Brown's Diner has it to spare.

A no frills bar/restaurant since 1927 that still serves the best cheeseburgers in Nashville.

Great service from a great staff! The food is delicious. Great burgers and fries!!

This establishment has been open since my childhood, aka about 30 years. The same waitress has worked there for that entire duration. It's a quaint place. I'd recommend it, if you're not in a hurry.

It was pouring down rain, we were famished and walking. Food was just okay, it was definitely not very clean, and the roof was leaking from rain. Probably wouldn't go back there. The people, however, were nice.

Looking for a old fashioned cheeseburger basket. Really enjoyed this place
