Absolutely incredible. Wish I knew about this little place earlier. Located inside Bearded Iris, this place serves delicious homemade ramen that will leave you satisfied and wanting to come back again and again. It also has the added bonus of being able to drink a Bearded Iris beer with your meal. Kids can eat here as well!

I hardly give reviews so this is very different of me.Black Dynasty was an incredible experience. I found it through Apple Maps and the ramen sparked my curiosity. After taking the first bite, I was blown away by the taste and it definitely trumps most ramen I’ve had served to me. I waved at the cook (Yabrell) and shared with him my fascination of the food which led to a great conversation about various topics. He provided excellent food + gave recommendations to nearby places for the next time I travel to Nashville. I even stopped the manager (Lauren) and had to compliment the cook and the food.Great (secretive) place within a bar. Ordering was done online + automatic 20% tip was included in the bill.

Have been here a few time and came in on Sunday for the Biang Biang noodle special. Have enjoyed everything I’ve had. The noodle special had a very long wait which was frustrating considering the price/ lack of warning, but I got over it after I ate since it was so good. So, this place is great. I live a block away from Bearded Iris’ other location but I have still drive out to their Sylvan Springs location because of them. Glad to see creative, fun, and interesting food stuff happening around town.

Seat yourself type of restaurant located within the Bearded Iris brewery. You order everything via the QR code which is table specific. Staff is nice and friendly. Food comes out super quick. We came at opening time and the restaurant soon started to fill up fast. The ramen broth is very savory and tasty and the ramen noodles have a good consistency and chew to them. Their menu is small. I will say that for the add-on items, save your money. For $1 I got two additional fish cakes and $4.5 one slice extra of pork. Also, do note that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to your bill. The bill is paid via the online menu tab just fyi. Cool place to kick back with your friends to get some good ramen or share some brews.

With the name “Secret Ramen” in the name it was a no brainer to check out. I wandered in with a friend on a Saturday around 8 and we were lucky enough to snag a table immediately. We ordered two bowls of miso tonkotsu and crispy onigiri. When our food arrived our expectations of a piping hot robust bowl of goodness did not match our reality of what was delivered. The chewy noodles paired with the ajitsuke egg was the best part of the meal. Unfortunately the pickled collards overwhelmed the broth to the point that I had to remove it from my bowl. The seared pork shoulder was charred and bland. On the other hand the parking was free, seating was swift and the relaxed ambience was inviting enough for a great date night spot. First visit so it may have been an off night for them.

Okay, kinda salty, actually very salty food, great vibes, plenty of parking. It is a bit overpriced. Tips are automatically added to your ticket. $4 tip for every ramen bowl. Total came out to $26 taxes and tip. I would have tipped more if there was actually servicing. The restaurant uses an excuse that they make everything from scratch. But it shouldn’t be an excuse to charge $19 for a bowl of ramen. Even the best ramen place in LA or NYC don’t dare to charge that price. I had Lobster Ramen for $20 in downtown LA. The Audacity!!Is it good to try for the first time? Yes. Would I come back? There are better options like Otaku and Two Ten.Maybe Bearded Iris saved you from getting 1 star. Their beer is goodOveral 1/5**response to the restaurant’s response**Who actually do you share the tip with? The chef, staff and MANAGERS?What do you make from scratch? The noodles? Do you grow your own onion, herbs, raise your own cattle?

Easily the best ramen that I have had in Nashville. If you go during peak dinner hours, expect to wait and be read to grab a table. Also, be sure to grab a beer or two while you wait.

I was pleasantly surprised to see another good ramen spot here in Nashville. I’ll list all the good things - staff are friendly, ramen is really solid, and service is fast. I got the Hellfire ramen which is a ramen with pork, egg, pickled collards, and noodles all in a spicy broth. The broth was very flavorful and the noodles had a really good bouncy consistency. I do think that it wasn’t spicy enough to carry such a heavy name as “Hellfire.”I think there are a few things that the restaurant can improve on which would make it a 5 easily in my book.First, they need to get heaters for the outside. One gentleman (maybe the owner) explained that they are working on getting heaters. This is greatly needed as it is really cold in the winter and the inside of the restaurant is completely congested with people.Second, they need to make it more clear when online ordering that a tip is already included in the charge. They automatically add a 20% tip but in the app it hides it under some type of “Service Fee” and then STILL gives you an option to tip. Most people wouldn’t realize that the tip has automatically been added, so this is quite misleading and probably leads to people tipping twice on the food.Last, it would be nice if they could upgrade their outdoor seating (specifically the movable chairs). The chairs do not lay flat, so while it may seem minor, constantly rocking back and forth does detract from the full dining experience. In the end, I still have to agree that this is easily in the top 3 ramens in Nashville.

I can easily give this a 5 star rating and believe it is by far Nashville's best ramen spot. Ordered the hellfire ramen, crispy onigiri, and the banana pudding. The crispy onigiri was a perfect combination of crispy on the outside with a really soft, flavorful interior. The hellfire ramen ramen was incredibly flavorful...The combination of really nice (and spicy) broth, incredibly tender pork, tangy fermented collared greens, and nice noodles made for a really delicious ramen experience that I haven't gotten elsewhere in Nashville. Finally, the banana pudding was a nice way to end the meal...and by this point I was stuffed.I already know I want to go back asap.

First time here and ordered the miso chintan. The flavor was good, but the salt level was astronomical. It was uncomfortable trying to get through this without feeling like you were eating straight salt. For the price ($20– expensive) I would not come here again. The ordering system was great, it was easy to order and pay ahead. The food came out fairly quickly.
