Disappointing meal. This is nothing related to real Nashville hot chicken. It's mediocre fried chicken stacked on bread with a pickle. I ordered medium (half chicken, so both breast and leg quarter), and there was not a trace of heat anywhere. It was bland, and the chicken needed brining or other seasoning. Edible, but did absolutely nothing to touch my hot chicken craving. The sides, however, were quite good (hence a couple of stars). Collard greens were tasty and flavorful, and the potato salad was really good. I wouldn't turn this meal down if I were starving, but neither will I be ordering again when I want real hot chicken.
Road trip on the way back through Tennessee and we landed here to try some hot chicken and we were NOT disappointed. Food was reasonably priced and came out quick and flavorful. Chicken tenders were large and the sides (Mac/fries) were great. Headed back toward Houston, TX and we all are stuffed! Oh, the mild heat was low enough for our 3 year old to eat and enjoy with no complaints.
Wouldn’t recommend. I ordered baked beans (which I didn’t receive), the Mac & cheese was watery & the greens weren’t good. I paid extra for the smallest piece of chicken tender. Not at all happy with this order and really wish I could get my money back. At least the salad was good even though it didn’t come with all of the ingredients either.
As long as we are passing through Nashville we always stop here. Chicken is great! Authentic Nashville hot chicken. Sweet tea always pairs well with hot chicken. We've been to this location several times now, it's worth the stop.
Love me some Nashville hot chicken! Look forward to it every time we come. For heat comparison, the medium at BJ’s is about like the mild at Hattie B’s.
Hot chicken is solid, chicken is juicy and breading is just right. “Hot” was the best for me. $9 for 2 tenders and fries plus Texas toast. Pretty fair prices, interior is clean good amount of tables. Not much parking, luckily we got here just before a group otherwise would have been tricky.
Ordered 1/2 chicken requested two leg quarters, got a leg and a breast quarter instead. Leg quarter was ordered medium but there was no heat at all. Chicken was not well seasoned either. Other than the skin the chicken was very bland. Best part of the meal was the mac and cheese. I should have known better when the most talked about things in the reviews was not the chicken but the mac and cheese. Overall I give it a 4/10. Far from Prince’s Hot Chicken but better than KFC.
Got the mild wings which really tasted like plain and the lemon pepper didn't taste anything like lemon pepper... got xtra sauce for both..I was still disappointed
Absolutely loved this place. Hot chicken strips are amazing. Some of the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever ate. Very cheesy. Do your self a favor and check this place out!
first time here and i am quite the nashville hot chicken expert. the place was extremely clean, staff was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. i ordered my regular, chicken beast quarter (medium) with fries. seating was nice and the serving procedure was very well thought out. got the order and was saddened to see there is no breading on the chicken. i am quite the chirpy crunchy guy so was at first not so happy. the flavor was very subdued and i could have gone up at least two more heat levels. all and all the food was fresh, tasty, and the whole experience was on that i will re visit soon.
