The hostess Haley went out of her way to be as difficult as possible from the moment we arrived. We grew from a party of 3 to a party of 4 and she refused to move us to another table. We were already trying to cram 3 people into a table intended for 2, but trying to put 4 people at a table that size was absurd. However, Haley stated that we would have to make due, but there we many other tables available. Luckily, Jennifer interceded and moved us to a larger table with the assistance of our waiter, Jay. Both Jennifer and Jay were most accomodating and they both have personalities that are conducive to successfully working in the service industry. Haley on the other hand not only turned away a party of 10 that was willing to split into 2 groups of 5 in order to be able to be seated that arrived just prior to our party. When it was our turn to approach the hostess stand we were advised by Haley, that there would be a wait. I do understand being short staffed, and we were okay with waiting a little while even when there were tables available, but when we asked for a cocktail to have in the meantime, she told us that they didn't have a bartender. I later asked her for a napkin, and she told me that I would need to get it from the bar¿ Imagine that. The "no I can't or won't" mentality and refusal to accommodate customers requests by the first person patrons meet, is not good for business. I have also included a picture of her waiting hand and foot and serving drinks from the bar for another patron who came in a little after we did. So, in summary the food and table service were great, but I wanted ownership and management to be aware of the issues that might be adversely affecting the number of people who actually make it to a table.
Customer service was not good. The waitress was rude. The music was too loud that I couldn't hear my friends talking to me. The food was not what I expected. I will not be coming back.
First time in Nashville and Misty at Big Machine was awesome!! Great service and gave us tons of recommendations!!
Do you enjoy athletically pleasing backdrops? Delicious food and drinks? Then you should check out Big Machine Distillery & Tavern in Nashville, TN. My favorite entree by far is the drunken nachos paired with an adult slushee. You can choose between sitting inside near the bar or venturing outside to sit at their picnic style tables to enjoy live music. Located near the new soccer stadium be sure to stop by to enjoy a meal and drinks!
We had a very large group and they were able to accommodate us quite well. The food was great and a terrific time was had by all.
Good place for brunch
Mimosas were warm (ick!) and used strawberry syrup/flavoring rather than actual strawberries, food was ok, and our server forgot about us once we had our food. With as many delicious restaurants there are in Nashville, Iâd recommend finding somewhere else to eat.
When most people think of Big Machine, they most likely think of artists like Rascal Flatts, Sheryl Crow, and many others, who would have guessed they are in the vodka business. There are some distinguishable differences that make this joint stand out from the rest down the street, personality and the room that houses the quaint and picturesque micro-distillery. The staff are all great to talk to, even the door staff. The vodka tour is a good experience and an opportunity to sample a lot of vodka and although I am not a vodka drinker, I was impressed. This is definitely one of the better places you can up at along Broadway, stop in and set a spell, just don't bring up the topic of Taylor Swift.Cheers!
The food was good! We had the blackbean burger and the Nashville (cheeseburger with bbq sauce. We also had two old fashioneds and the flight sampler. The prices were fair and the atmosphere was nice. However, as much as we LOVE dog-friendly restaurants, we saw two tables which had their small- breed dogs ON THE TABLE TOP! We could not believe that this was approved by management. This is simply not hygienic. My husband, who loves dogs and is not a germ-a-phone was disgusted.
We sat outside under shade for brunch and the food was outstanding as well as the service. Inside was live music, never a lack of talent in Nashville
