I got one of all the adult tacos and can truthfully recommend the sesame ribeye. The pork belly is along the same lines a little over the top on the glaze but it is what you would expect on a BBQ pork taco.
Rude staff member halfway through our meal. First time excitedly trying Bartaco. Firstly, the tacos and drinks are delicious. Seated quickly and served quickly. We are techie so the ordering through the app was right up our alley! Easy to use once it loaded and all we had to do was keep ordering on it. Atmosphere is great, and the staff that brought us our waters and the other who brought our dishes were very kind. They both said if we need anything to raise the card on the table and they will come. My husband got tacos and I got a rice coconut shrimp bowl that looked very appetizing from the photo. The shrimp all had something burnt and thinly stringy on them. There was no coconut taste to detect and even after peeling it off, the burnt taste had over powered the meal. The flavor was in the actual shrimp but the plain rice, peppers, and onions couldn’t help with the burnt taste.Secondly, I was going to just keep it but there was no way I was going to be able to eat it and with the kind staff, we figured returning would be an option. Well, a staff member we had not seen before quickly came to our table once we raised the card. After asking what was the issue with a straight face, I grew uncomfortable. I explained the burnt taste was overpowering the meal as gently as possible and he grabbed the bowl from me with a stance slightly facing back to the kitchen. He asked “What did you order?” And I told him. As I was trying to ask if I could order something else, he quickly interrupted asking “what do you want me to do?” very impatiently. I was stuttering and quickly said I will order something else and he walked off saying “I’ll take it off.” (The tab) and I looked at my husband and we both were shocked.We are foodies so when we go out, we go to happily spend our money for great service and food. We eat out and try a number of things on a menu. Though his drink was small and loaded with ice, we were going to sit there for a while, laugh, talk, and repeat order what we found to be the best and still order drinks for us both. The way to order was a dream! Order and the food keeps coming. Well if you have a speech impediment or are an introvert, I feel sorry if you have to encounter that staff member who really spoiled the feel good of eating out and being talked to and dismissed that way. Hopefully you get the kind staff members for any questions or concerns. The feeling I was left with was that the rude staff member came over with an attitude, had an attitude that I wasn’t answering quick enough about how to resolve it (I’ve never had this issue and was already nervous and I thought that in these instances they tell you the options in how it can be resolved), I felt rushed, and treated like I didn’t matter. I ordered tacos that my husband suggested to give them a taste and they were delivered by the kind server. It was okay that the rude staff member didn’t return but it would have been a nice recovery to be checked on by him or anyone. So that left no room to give the benefit of the doubt if any. I’m very forgiving, understanding, and appreciate everyone in the food service industry for the hard work it takes but I felt horrible sitting there last night. My husband paid the tab quickly while I ate because It was already in our mind to leave and we got out of there.
Took a bit to learn how the process worked - ordering on your phone - but it was so worthy it. Great service and yummy food! Worth the wait!
Stopped in for lunch on vacation with my fiance. I absolutely love their computer system for ordering food and drinks. You don't have to wait for a server to come to your table. You just order on an app and they bring everything out. It's amazing! Their cocktails, and food were all phenomenal! Service was great. The hostess who sat us was so nice! And our server was great as well! 10/10 service and food!!!
Similar to the Boulder location but smaller.we stayed in an Airbnb upstairs .. came from airport and enjoyed the vibrant scene..it’s young and it was grad weekend..so extra crowded and parking not easy on 12th S
Used their app to get on the waitlist and were at our table within 10 minutes of arriving. Everyone was friendly and seemed genuinely happy that we were there which always makes for a great experience. From the hostess to the manager to the servers, it was awesome!. Food was also great, took the managers advice and ordered a little of everything and none of us were disappointed, it was all great! And the Margarita's are fabulous to say the least! Highly recommend! A great spot for lunch in the midst of a cool collection of boutiques on S. 12th.
Best pork belly street tacos ever! Nice atmosphere but bring a sweater. It’s cold in the restaurant and downright freezing in the bathroom.
I honestly love this place for the incredible food but also the staff are amazing! I came in with my fam and my husky today and one guy that works there in particular went above and beyond to make sure my girl had water and literally just whatever she needed. It was a hot day so the care and concern was what not just made me like the food but truly love the place and environment itself. Tall dude with black shirt and black hat and all the tattoos…. My Luna and I thank you!
If you want to have delicious tacos and margaritas in a great atmosphere head to Bartaco. Cool to see such a young staff work so well collaboratively to give their guests a great experience. All the drinks use fresh squeezed juice and all the tacos, although small are packed with flavor. My top pics are the pork belly and tuna. The tres leches desert was also a hit and I am used to the real thing coming from Hispanic heritage. It was packed on a Tuesday afternoon so you may want to call ahead.
Great food! Not a huge fan of the app based ordering…. But I’ll put up with it for the incredible food.
