Very unusual chicken taquitos. Not the food we are accustomed to in Texas. Salsa was extremely tame. Place did seem to be very popular.
We are an old couple of the age 58. We do still love to party though. All the bars on Broadway are to noisy to hear anything. There were lines around the corners of them all, not our scene. We were going back to the hotel bar as a last resort. That was to lame for us. We saw Bakersfield and went in. Not overcrowded, not noisy and they serve alcohol! We got drunk, went back to our room and resumed the partay!
Fantastic from the minute we walked in. Michael was our server and he was really helpful. Food was delicious ahold served quickly.
We were in the mood for Mexican food and this place is close to Broadway and the reviews looked promising. Everything is a la carte and you can expect to pay between $4-$10/each for tacos and sides. The service was great and they sat us right away. They had a long list of Taquila but the first two taquilas we ordered were out of stock which seemed odd. We had the esquites (cold), chips & salsa, baked short ribs queso, tacos, and taquitos. The short rib was a little sweet and different but we really enjoyed it. The chips and salsa was a good deal for $5. They refill the chips and give you two bowls of salsa (one is smoky and the other is a salsa verde). The taquitos were really flaky and were probably the best thing we ordered. I liked there variety of tacos but didn't care much for the Huitlacochie but the papas & chorizo was really good. It was a little pricey for what you get and the lack of some taquila in stock is why I give it 4/5 stars.
Great atmosphere and fast service. Ordered the trio salsa and guacamole and some tacos. Inexpensive with great staff. Excellent choice for downtown Nashville!

Got there at 5pm and they were able to seat us. The service was great! The food was affordable and so yummy! Try the guacamole! Amazing!
This place is cool….but it has def gone down since last visit. They just seem overwhelmed. Nothing bad. Nothing great. Just a spot near downtown where they just can’t seem to keep up.
Their food is incredible. Huge tequila selection. gluten free options. great place to hang out or get a quick bite
Really cool place downtown with a great bar and menu. Guacamole was highly reviewed and recommended by the staff and it did not disappoint! Tacos are street style so smaller but packed with flavor. Rocked a Baja Shrimp, Short-Rib, and Al Pastor. All were awesome and I could have ate another 2-3 of the short-rib alone. High five to the wait staff too, all really nice! Need to come back and try the torta now…
