I honestly had no idea what was happening. I was seated. Asked if I liked meat or veggies. That was it. Sat for 5 minutes waiting to order, thought it was odd. Hopped on Google to see other reviewers had the same experience.Good just showed up.Random coffee smoke waft in my face.Interesting food. Interesting experience.Def a culture difference, so can’t fault them for that. Not sure I would go back, but I’m glad that I tried it once.

It made me feel sad reading some of these reviews both due to the blatant ignorance and rudeness. The food here was incredible and the service was kind and prompt. This was my first time having Ethiopian and it was a lovely experience. The food was cooked perfectly. The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly as was everything else. The spice level varies between the different items on the plate. If you or your children can't handle spicy perhaps this restaurant isn't for you. They ask if you'd like meat or veggies and that's it, they are menu-less. You trust the cook, it's part of the experience. The quality of the food you will receive is great, but you must be open-minded to varying levels of spice. Also, try the coffee! It was great!Highly recommend.

We walked in with two little kids. We were asked if we want meat or no meat and that was it. The food came out 10 minutes later and pretty much everything was made way too spicy for the kids to eat (even though the menu on the table lists spicy and not spicy as options for food). The woman didn't ask how we wanted it cooked. Our children didn't eat at all. She charged us for four full meals. The best part is when we paid, she said the charge didn't go through and made us run the card again. Of course, the next day, I check my card and she charged us twice. I disputed it with the credit card company and she had the nerve to deny the dispute. It was overpriced and did not accommodate for children, plus she charged us twice. What a horrible experience!

Best Ethiopian food in Nashville. Was asked if I eat meat and was presented a massive plate for 2. Tibs were fantastic. Was served with lentils, cabbage, and collared greens. Will come back. Limited service.

Very cozy restaurant tucked away that belies the flavorful experience inside. Ethiopian food is one of my faves and this restaurant knows how to make it! Their chickpea stew (Shiro) is some of the best I've had and their sampler plate is a great place to start. Haven't had other Ethiopian place in Nashville yet, but this is a good one to have started with!

I went there yesterday and ordered a combo plate. The cook/owner was eating. When she began preparing my food she didn't wash her hands. My meat was extremely salty. I brought the plate up to her. She rakes the meet off my platter with the spoon she cooks with into the pan she uses. So unsanitary. Then gives me Shiro instead. I have been several times and noticed some things I didn't care for. This was the last straw.

Awesome food, friendly owner. The whole place smells divine. I liked that we walked in and got food right away and we didn't have to fumble with menu we'd have no context for. She asked if we ate meat and then just brought us the standard platter. Chic peas, collard greens, seasoned spicy beef, cabbage and potatoes, and an egg per person come standard.

The absolute best Ethiopian food in Nashville! The meat is tender and marinated for hours. The vegetables are incredible. The spices make you want to hmmmm all the way through your meal. The owner is super friendly and genuinely seems to enjoy seeing her guests enjoy their food. Not enough stars for this place!
