Atmosphere is great, but didn’t stick around long because the drinks were extremely weak. Was watching the drinks being pour and didn’t even seem like we got a full shot per drink. Can’t condone the spending when we can just go to the next bar and pay the same for a better drink.
This is a super fun place! Drinks are cheaper than anywhere on the strip. They have great music. Time in-between bands is very short. Small place but don’t need big and fancy to have fun. 3 stories but laid back. The rooftop offers great views of the street. Every floor is a good time getting to the roof. The bands this particular night were great! The Big Bass player in first band was Awesome! Second band Francelle, The guitar player sounded just like Alan Jackson! Clean place , friendly staff, bartenders are great and quick. Nice dance floor .I have been to Nashville twice and both times this bar has been the best, not crazy crowded like the others . I will definitely return when I’m in Nashville
Loved the atmosphere of this place! The staff was super friendly, it wasn't over crowded. I felt like it was a calmer, slightly older crowd than a lot of the other honky tonks, which was a nice change of pace. They played the song I requested and made my night!
Such a nice bar. Great music choices. But after 6 pm the music was turned up so loud to the max!!!Anyways we ended up leaving after a few songs, like the majority of crowd. It was down to 25 people in the bar. Sooooo loud.Sorry we love the bar but we aren’t college kids anymore.
Great live music with a nice vibe if you’re into that kind of stuff. Wasn’t too busy when I went, so it was nice and relaxing. Only downside was for our drinks, which don’t come with enough alcohol. They felt watered down…
The girl singing on April 23, 2022, was amazing. Her band was to. They should be making records. Then we went upstairs to do Karaoke and was very disappointed. They were actually just playing rap. No karaoke singing going on. We didn't stay. We sure heard a good bit of rap music outside on Broadway . Some of the cars had that rap so loud it was drowning out the country music we went to Nashville to hear. It was a very disappointing trip to Nashville.
Old time small bar! We loved it. Music was great with more of the country songs that told stories about grandma and grandpa on the farm. Coora was our bartender and she is so beautiful and friendly and made our experience even better. Wanted to stay longer but had a flight to catch!
Worst bar I’ve been to in Nashville & it’s disappointing that AJ would want his name represented this way. The bouncers were extremely rude. We had a misunderstanding with an ID and I was very firm about not being denied entry because I knew we didn’t do anything wrong. The issue was then resolved and the bouncer said he didn’t want to let us in because of “how I was speaking to him.” He said “I will let you in if you apologize.” I wanted to laugh because that’s such a ridiculous thing to say to someone, completely childish. Not wanting to cause problems, I did. We were there for maybe 10 minutes, no country being played. Really wanted to love this place but we much preferred The Stage and Tootsies and the staff were a lot friendlier at those venues also!
Have loved visiting in the past but this trip was odd. Every time we attempted to go, they were closed, even when the signs are all on and web site says they're open??? Hopefully we'll get there next visit to Nashville.
Shame on you AJs Good Time bar. Charging $10 for a bottle koozie and the iron on didnt even last 4 month with less than normal use!
