This is a hidden gem in the Nations neighborhood. We ordered takeout from them two nights in a row. We tried their salads, tacos and sandwiches and a piece of their carrot cake! Everything we tried was delicious, especially the carrot cake. Prices were great and we received our food very quick.
First time here. I had a club sandwich. It was filled with fantastic meats. It had a great flavor. I also had Italian pasta. I would not recommend it. It had too much juice. You couldn't enjoy the pasta.
Stopped here for a quick snack before hitting up southern grist. Got the Caesar wrap and it was delicious! They have an expansive menu with a market section as well to truly provide whatever you may need for a quick meal. Will definitely be back to try more of the options available!
This was my first visit to 51st Deli and I am so glad I went! I was craving a Reuben for Saint Patrick's Day, so I Googled "Best Reuben sandwich in Nashville." 51st Deli was at the top of the list, and rightfully so! It was absolutely the best Reuben I have ever had anywhere. Perfectly combined high-quality ingredients earn this Ruben a solid 5 stars. I analyzed each ingredient--tender corned beef, fresh marbled rye bread, properly aged Swiss cheese, and traditional thousand island dressing--for stand-alone quality, too. Individually, all were excellent. Some restaurants skimp on an ingredient here and there, expecting the quality of other ingredients to make up the difference (like restaurants that serve excellent fish with basic bottled tartar sauce or a juicy burger with processed cheese), but 51st Deli did not disappoint in any way. Which leads me to the potato wedges--tender baked-potato tenderness surrounded by the right amount of crispy batter. Yum! Friendly service, a nicely stocked deli counter and market, and an enticing menu make this a place I'll visit often now that I've found it!

The food here is great! And staff are pretty cool, too. I recommend the West Nasty (hot sandwich) or Deli Delight (hot). And the beef empanadas are so good! Try all these out!Pictured is a beef empanada with salsa verde and a tomato-ey sauce. Both very yum!
4 Stars for the amazing food. Not only was it hot and fresh it came up very quickly as well. I took away just one star because the cashier was a complete B. I simply asked for a croissant withy omelet and she acted like i asked for her kidney. She was super rude and snappy. She kept rubbing her nose on her sleeve and rolling her eyes. Besides her this seems like a wonderful place.
Perfect place for a quick lunch. Market style where you can choose from a huge selection of drinks (alcohol and non alcohol), chips, cakes, premise sides. The deli part offers handmade sandwiches, tacos, burritos along with a whole breakfast menu. I ordered the West Nasty hot sandwich which was pretty good, could use more sauce and flavor. Would definitely come back and try the Mexican food, looked pretty authentic and everyone else seemed to be ordering that.
I REALLY didn't want to write this...because its absolutely FANTASTIC! I don’t want it getting so busy that I can't walk in and out as quick as I typically do. Their menu is amazing, and incredibly nice. The in store selection is top notch farm to table.51st street breakfast burrito is #1 for me. Hope you all enjoy this hidden gem!
The most expensive and bad tasting Ruben in my life!!! Will not back
