5 stars across the board! Great food and service! If you haven’t tried the sausage cheese and pickle platter you’re missing out! Drove down from Bowling green just to get for Father’s Day! Best appetizer ever! Banana pudding is authentic and taste like you made it home! Thank you Champy’s for the awesome experience! Can’t wait to come back!
Ok to be fair the outside looks rough. The inside decor is funny bit loved it. Our waitress was great. The catfish platter was hot and great. This is the second time I ate here the first time I had the fried chicken live, my God the serving was awesomeThe price for both times I ate there are WELL within reason. I will be visiting again real soon.
Went to dinner with my girlfriend. Had a waitress named Hailey. She was outstanding! She took great care of us, and every time I saw her interact with her customers I could see that she enjoyed what she did, and her customers appreciated her. She was very attentive to both of us. I have not felt so welcomed somewhere in quite a long time. I know this is not a high-end restaurant, but I gave a 100% tip because I felt like the service was that of a five star restaurant!
We have been to this place a number of times.It seems if the waitress has more than 2 tables they are lost! Getting seated took 10 minutes and nobody else waiting with at least 4 tables available.We ordered our food and it seemed to take 20 minutes or more. I asked for BBQ sauce when i ordered had to ask for it after the food was finally brought to us. It took another 10 minutes for the sauce. We got a refill of sweet ice tea. It was not sweet tea!I don’t like doing this though it has not seemed to get better over the number of times we have tried this place. After 2 or 3 times, time to move on. Hopefully management will see this and do something about it.
I was recently encouraged to visit this restaurant hot chicken is not one of my go to foods but I heard that I would enjoy almost everything on the menu if not everything by this lovely girl by the name of Hailey. I told this lovely girl that I would come to visit because she was so positive and energetic about working there. I believe her name was Hailey I found her to be a five-star server not only did she take time out to be attentive to my needs but also her coworkers as well, she was willing to help them as well which is remarkable in itself. I would highly recommend going to Champy’s and asking to be seated at Hailey’s table I promise you will not regret.
Best fried chicken in town!
Inviting, casual atmosphere. We were immediately seated on a Friday night but our table was catching a draft of cold air every time the front door opened (will request a booth next time). The hot tamales were excellent! and came with coleslaw which was pretty good. We had to wait quite awhile (too long) for our chicken plates to come out and the floor manager immediately showed up at our table to apologize. The chicken, however, was hot and delicious. I'm sure we'll go back and maybe get a warmer spot so we can stay and try a dessert.
Good food and fast service. We loved their tamales, sweet heat chicken salad and gumbo.
Just tried this place for the first time and I'mvery happy with my decision! My boyfriend and I got a 3 piece white meat chicken plate and 6 tamales to share. We also got mashed potatoes with gravy, bacon gouda mac and cheese, and cole slaw for sides. Everything was delicious!
I don't know if they changed their recipient what bt this was about par with KFC and our waitress was almost non existent the one in chattanooga was way better the lat time I went this use to be my favorite chicken place and now I just ate there for my last time
