Food and service was good, Horchata was amazing! The highlight of lunch :) Give it a try ;)
Hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in the Boro. My go-to are the shrimp tacos and are phenomenal every time. Margaritas are delicious and are buy one get one free every night! Lupita always ends up being our waitress and we are always so excited to get her. She's attentive and always on top of anything we need - before we even have to ask. LOVE CARMEN'S!
When I close my eyes at Carmen’s the food makes me feel like I’m on vacation. Drinks are fire, food is amazing (I usually have the carnitas.) and I’ve never had bad service. Easily the best food in town. Love this little gem!

Staff was very friendly and helpful with our to-go order. Food was very tasty, really enjoyed the chicken fajitas. I'm a big fan of local small businesses, especially when they help support the local school(s).
Delicious Mexican restaurant. Everything seemed freshly prepared. I had a Chimichanga and my Wife had shredded beef. Both were excellent. Their salsa and guacamole were good as well. This is now my preferred Mexican restaurant in town.
First time here in a long time. The service was absolutely amazing. The waitress I had was kind, polite, and happy to assistance and offer suggestions. I had 4 tacos both steak and pastor... Absolutely amazing. Love the multiple varieties of salsa especially the spicy. Very tasty. I am sure I'll be back.
Excellent food. Had a great lunch, good portions. For some reason Carmen’s is just a homey and super comfortable place to be. The service is great, the food is great, the dinner portions are enormous.
This is elevated Mexican, where despite the familiar names of the dishes on the menu, each of them goes in an unfamiliar direction. In a world where virtually every Mexican restaurant is identical, Carmen's stands out. I have never had a bad meal here and look forward to trying every single item they serve. You should too.
THEY CHARGE 12.5% FOR TAKE OUT ORDERS!!!I called and ordered 3 burritos for pick up and was told it'd be 10 minutes. I got there and they demanded $50+ from me before they would make my food... um, what?!? $50 for 3 burritos?!? Turns out they charge an extra 12.5% for picking up food and don't even tell you. I didn't sit in their establishment, get waited on, eat their salsa, drink their water, use their bathrooms... what exactly am I paying for??? That's why they won't start your order until you arrive - because they KNOW they're scamming you and they know you'll have a problem with it. UNACCEPTABLE & UNHEARD OF! I'll never go back to Carmen's.
