We just moved here and today we ate at this location at Captain D's. It was fresh and quick. The greeters were also very amazing. We will be eating here again and referring to others. Thank you so much❤️
This has got to be the worst location for a Captain D’s or any fast food place I have ever experienced. There is no drive thru! And no I do not want curbside pick up I want a drive thru. Also it’s hard to get in and out of. They have signs stating it’s easier to exit if you go through the speedway gas station. Which be warned over there you might encounter red necks from Shelbyville (I’m just saying). I didn’t even bother ordering. I left went to one WITH a drive thru. Whoever picked out this location and thought it was a good idea for a location needs to be jailed.
If you want to experience the fresh amazing fish and clean NON-GREESY floors this is the location. I refuse getting fish from many Captain Ds because their floors are nasty! This ones changes my mind and we get to enjoy the nice Captain Ds I always remembered as a young kid. Keep up this professional integrity and generosity!
The food is always excellent at this location. The service is great and seems to have gotten better since it first opened. It’s almost like you’re not even at a normal Captain D’s. Three different people have came around asking how the food was while I’ve been dining in. Much better than the other locations and Murfreesboro.
The seafood platter contained generous sized portions. The chicken, and shrimp were tasty. Fish was crispy and crunchy. Gumbo was good, but pricey.
I have been to this location previously before and my experience was great; however this time, Captain Ds dropped the ball.In the picture attached to this review, it shows my side of broccoli that was very very overcooked! It was very soft and mushy and was not appetizing.I understand it’s closer to the end of the night but I still should have received fresh food. I’d like to have rated higher but I just couldn’t.
We had been looking for an amazing Captain D’s. This was my favorite place to eat growing up. This is by far this best location in the area. It represents the Captain D’s as a restaurant with quality food versus fast-food. Great food takes time. I was greeted at the door which set the tone as the gentleman opened the door. The dining room was clean. My order was taken and they even have beepers to alert you when your order is ready. There is an area for Food Delivery service. The entire experience was great from beginning to end. Our food was hot and fresh. I received everything I ordered down yo the condiments. The beverage area was clean and well organized. This is the service I expect and have come to know and love from Captain D’s. There is no drive-thru. You can dine-in or carry-out. This was my first visit, however it will not be my last! Thank you Captain D’s.
If you order delivery, don't bother. I've ordered twice and they never have given me my whole order. Food is, well it is fried fish from a fast food joint. I would give it more stars if the people fulfilling the order could read or follow instructions.
When I first heard a new D's was coming on South Church, 5 minutes from my home, oh boy, I was absolutely ecstatic! First chance I got I made the short drive and ordered my 4 piece fish with fried okra and fries, and of course tons of vinegar. After the first bite I was HOOKED! I usually don't eat the sides at any restaurant, but I gobbled mine and that's saying something.But their fish is the rockstar for sure. It's fried to perfection with just the right amount of batter. The beautiful white fish glistens in the light and tastes so incredibly fresh, there is not even a hint of that all-too-common 'fishy' taste. The food is just great, that's all there is too it.*Edit 9/24/2021*I have more praise for our new D's! It's very clear, as of two days ago that changes have been made throughout to improve on the restaurant and safety of its patrons and staff alike. There seems to have been some staffing changes, for the better, as well as incorporating more safety measures. For example, the first time I went there I did almost slip and fall near the drink fountains as the floor is extremely slick when barely wet, I'm happy to announce that there is now a non-slip rug covering that area and the 'caution wet floor' sign is much more visible. They have also added hand sanitation stations throughout the premises and as when it first opened I didn't not see one staff member masking up, the last time I went there, there were several doing so! Not all, but some are better than none! THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THESE CHANGES!!The food hasn't changed, it's still absolutely devine ??
Order a 2pc fish and fries at 7:41pm didn't get my food until 8:02pm. So much for fast food! There were about 5-6 other people before me that all looked annoyed, like they had been there awhile.. I will say Karen was very polite and apologized for the delay. But still shouldn't take 20min for fast food. They seemed to be having issues getting the orders correct because they were sending them back to the kitchen asking them to be remade for almost every order that came out.? Food was good and fresh when I finally did get it!
