Custard is great but the speed and service has truly taken a dump. 40 minutes “I’m not exaggerating” to get through the drive thru. This has been the case past few times stopping in. Evidently they are struggling with labor shortage. When they first opened it was so quick. If the line is even half way around the building don’t stop!
Usually very good but if there busy do not go. They will put ice cream in a cup and slam whatever ingredients are supposed to go in on top. it will never hit a mixer. In my business I care about quality over quantity. If they could find there middle ground and serve both of those things I would have gave them a five star review
I see now why people don't give this place full five stars for $8.77 my large was not even full I ordered a cheesecake with raspberry and there was 2 pieces of cheesecake ontop not even mixed in... I gave the girl at the drive thru window $10.77 and was only given $1.75 back... I'm not sure if she's got her own secret tip fund going or what I thought it was strange. She didn't great me and had an apron on that looked like it hadn't been washed in weeks. For the money I was very disappointed with my custard and the service at Andy's.
Usually it’s a really good treat. However, if I based my review on just today’s visit it would be 1 star for sure. The counter was filthy. The kitchen looked filthy. The workers were extremely loud, so loud that the cashier had to ask them to be quiet so she could hear the customer. A couple of the workers audibly laughed at her and kept talking. A customer put his socks and shoes on the counter, so I asked that our custard not be put on the counter. The young lady came around and cleaned it immediately. We received our concretes from visibly dirty, sticky workers with custard on their hands and around our cups. Not a great experience at all, I know it’s extremely difficult to find workers though.
Normally I love Andy’s but lately I’ve been hearing people complain. Tonight we went and got two small cones and a pint to take home. They definitely gave us kid sizes and charged for a regular small. The ice cream I got was vanilla and maybe had a total of 5 licks worth of ice cream total. Normally the small is perfect for me but this was a huge disappointment. I understand why I’ve heard so many negative things lately. They stay busy but when you pay $2 for a tiny scoop of halfway melted custard..feels a little like they’ve stopped caring about the customers. Definitely seemed more like a sample than a cone of ice cream. The pint I ordered was clearly made and frozen a while ago. They should advertise that the pints are not fresh.
Ordered a mint concrete and paid. Waited a good few minutes to find out they don’t have mint. Second time in two months, whatever fine. Ask for something else and they tried to charge us for it, a couple minutes later, they tell us there is none of that either. “Would you like a root beer float they said?” No thank you, I’ll take a refund. “We don’t issue refunds” WHAT?! We left with a refund but very frustrated. We live a couple blocks away and will go for other options from now on.
So good. It's real frozen custard, nothing like the fake custard at Culver's.We love waffle cones, but not Andy's waffle cones. They are very bitter, not sweet. The Rast Luke they have some sort of baking soda or baking powder in them. A very off taste. Everything else is wonderful.A.L
Lots of people here and I know why now. Fantastic experience. Some of the best frozen custard around and their shop is cool like going back in time. I recommend just the plain vanilla. It's so good I can't bring myself to try anything else.
I have left previous reviews of Andy’s and can’t locate it to change it. I should start by saying that I love their desserts, especially when they are done correctly. In the past 2 years I have never not been disappointed in the attention to detail this location seems to always miss. The normal is to not mix product well or to just under fill the cups. I order and pay for a full cup and always receive less. This last time I paid full price for 3/4 filled cups. $14 is a lot for 2 desserts and I’m willing to pay for it. But come on, fill the dang cups already!!
Drove all the way across town to get 4 of these melted half ice cream cones. So disappointing!
