Our party had the PDK burger, hot chicken sandwich, summer berry salad and peach cobbler. We were served on melamine which I appreciated having actual dishes. Food was very fresh and the peach cobbler was served with real cream. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Coke products also a plus. They have bibles at their register which was great to see at a restaurant. Lots of cute tea towels and knick knacks.
I got the tennessean burger and my husband got the farm hand burger and they were both delicious (though I preferred the bite I got from my husbands to mine ?) we also got dessert and the banana pudding was to die for! Almost beats my southern mommas! Peach cobbler was good as well but ice cream would’ve been a plus. All in all, clean atmosphere and quick dining process and very sweet employees! 10/10 would recommend!
Their food is very good. I had the fried shrimp plate, and my sister in law had the pork tenderloin sandwich. The cobbler is so good. Everything is homemade. The young lady at the register was super nice. They have different things inside that you can buy like candles, cups, dish towels, candy jack daniel pecans. Its a little pricey but i will go back. They do have some beer there
Great food and a clean, comfortable restaurant. Fairly priced menu. They also offer some takeaway options and have a small store section with merchandise from local artists/makers.
Sweet place! There are interesting things to catch your attention as you walk in--gift items for them home, etc.We had the shrimp po'boy and the Farm hand burger with sides of fries. The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our first experience there and would definitely return.
PDK’s classic American fare is freshly prepared and tasty. They have a variety of items including hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, seafood, and wings. They also serve a few deserts including banana pudding which, according to our young son, was the best he’d ever had.The staff is friendly and attentive. The facilities are clean, and the atmosphere is bright and open. Overall, an enjoyable experience.
PDK has a reasonable menu selection. The food is always consistent and tastes great. They have daily specials and Friday is shrimp day.The staff are friendly and the atmosphere here is comfortable. The diner is spacious and tall ceilings make it much less noisy during peak periods. They have unique gifts scattered about the facility.
Was really looking forward to trying the food here since I relocated here and live practically next door. Atmosphere and service was great! Food... not so great. Im a southern boy and grew up in a southern grandma and moms kitchen, so my expectations were high and this is what I ordered and experienced....Hamburger Steak was small but tender, did not taste homemade at all. Mashed potatoes were definitely instant and everything was covered in brown gravy that was so salty I couldn't enjoy the food underneath it. Brussels were actually good but a bit dry. Fried onions were pretty good but its kinda hard to mess up a fried onion. Banana puddin was good but definitely not the best. My brother ordered a burger, it looked great and the bacon was good but nothing to get excited about. Burger Republic next door has a true hamburger that is delicious. Mac and cheese definitely came in frozen or was straight out of the box with imitation cheese sauce. Fries were good! The peach cobbler was not cobbler at all. It was like salty butter cake. Not even kidding. 50 bucks later and not happy with the meal at all. I would possibly try them again and try items on the menu that are not cooked and heavily seasoned with salt... we shall see. My advice ,.. Go eat at Cracker Barrel across the street and stop by PDK to buy some of their cutesy overpriced items. Brutal honest review. Fire your kitchen cooks and revamp the processed food items on the menu.I hope my review helps, maybe it was a off night in the kitchen.. not sure, but it wasn't a good food night..
Ordered a bbq chicken sandwich from here and it was delicious. Also got a large banana pudding and it was probably one of the top banana puddings I have ever had. Was a big portion and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend getting lunch or dinner from here if you are in the area.
Always a wonderful experience! My family and I make a visit here every time I am in town and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming and very spacious. The staff is incredible. My mom and I had a lovely dinner recently and the manager, Sandra, was so kind and chatted with us. She even treated us to a banana pudding that was phenomenal! Make a visit and try anything on the menu. It's all so good!
