Let’s start with the positives. The waitress was very nice and the food tasted good. That’s about where the good ended. I don’t know if she was an owner or manager but she was the least accommodating person in the service industry I have ever met. Can’t push tables together because they chose to buy 400# tables. We had a party of 7 and they only had 1 table that hold that many and we didn’t particularly want to split up. It was a different story when we thought there was going to be 10 of us. But parties of 6 or more can’t have separate checks if at one table. But if we were split between 2 tables we could have paid separately. Just didn’t make sense to us and I’ve worked at multiple restaurants. The portion sizes were pretty small for the prices. Two ladies that were sitting next to each other got the same dish. One obviously had more meat on it than the other. The waitress took it back and got a little more added. But then the owner/manager came out and informed us (a little shortly) that the chef wanted us to know that different meats have different amounts of fat but both weighed the same. Fajita steak should have most fat cut off. Why come out and tell us that in that way? Then on top of everything, we were asked 3-4 times to not leave a bad Google review. That was a huge red flag and so we checked out the reviews and see they aren’t great. Why ask a patron to not leave a bad review? You obviously know something isn’t right if you are making that request. I like supporting local but don’t believe I will be returning again.
We had an AMAZING experience at Memo's!!! I tried a few things I'd never had before (the Mojcajete Ranchero entree and the Tepache cocktail) and a few tried-and-true favorites (Al Pastor tacos and Mahi Mahi tacos) and every single thing we ate/sipped was to die for.We also got to chat with Memo and Katie about their recipes and the ingredients they use, and you can tell they put a TON of care and soul into every detail of their menu.I cannot recommend Memo's enough, and if you're open to hearing one more recommendation from me, here it is: When you go, try something new! They have a lot of authentic Mexican options that you won't find at other Tex-Mex restaurants, and those were the dishes we enjoyed most of all.
First of all, our waitress was fine. I did ask for extra lemon and only got one. (Maybe you have to pay extra for that). The food took a while to come to our table, order was simple, and it was not hot as you would expect when they bring it out in an iron skillet with a potholder. The serving was very small for what I ordered (Enchiladas) only 3 very small with no sides and had a weird taste to them and real salty, they could have thrown on some refried beans. My wife ordered nachos; I think Taco Bell are much better (oh that is a slam). The chips were stale. When we wanted more salsa, it would cost $1.50, what Mexican restaurant does that? The chips that came out were a small portion and they came from a bag, salsa not great (but they must be proud of it to charge you for extra). So, we heard it was good, however our two meals were not at all good. Won't go back there, Cinco De Mayo (competitor) much better (actually Toco Bell is better). I had a hard time selecting from what they offered, noting looked that good. I very seldom write reviews but was so disappointed, I had to, won’t be back.
Memos is the best! Both Memo and Katie are awesome business owners. The waitstaff are awesome and just the right amount of attentive. Katie’s well drinks are literal works of art. The Food is authentic and delicious.
Wonderful atmosphere, food was delicious, service was amazing. Authentic foods with super flavor. Great murals at the back by the bathrooms too. Make sure to check this place out
Finally got to go after hearing wonderful reviews from friends. The place is fantastic. Our waiter was fantastic and explained how they made some of the food. My husband got the mole and it was out of this world. I ordered several of the street tacos and they were tasty. The food was PERFECTLY cooked and didn't have to be drowned in sauce. I was disappointed that they were sold out of the sangria and churros but I will go earlier next time to try !! If they sold out they must be wonderful!!
I will always choose this place over other restaurants in the area. The food is delicious. Drinks are on point! I love trying their seasonal drinks but the "Best Darn Margarita" is one of my favorites. Definitely give this place a try if you want a great friendly place where the owners truly give a damn about their customers. Mt Juliet is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant.
Staff are attentive and the food was really good. I just think for Mexican food at this price point (slightly pricier than average) and smaller than average portion sizes, the ambiance has to be better (nicer booths, floors, etc.). But you really won't be disappointed coming here!
I walked in to place an order for pick up in which they refused to me rudely and told me I needed to go online that was the only way they would take my order although the place was completely empty. After going back to my truck to grab my phone so I could make the online order inside their business I've placed an order for a burrito. Once I received the burrito I realized that they didn't include any side salsa so that you could put it on the burrito when asked about it They said the site's also accost me a $1.25. Any Mexican restaurant I've ever been to include salsa sa from the most expensive all the way down to Taco Bell a little side salsa is free. I wasn't asking for a gallon and I won't pay a $25 and be treated rude this is the last time I'll be back.
