We were traveling through Tennessee and wanted to stop at a Nashville BBQ place and this was on the way (with a slight detour) to our destination. The BBQ sauce is really thin (a bit watery) but very flavorful and delicious. Their brisket is probably some of the best I've ever had. I enjoyed the ribs. Their mac and cheese was top notch and the cornbread hoecakes were fantastic dipped in their sauce. Their chips were made there and seasoned wonderfully.Service was great too! We all loved this place.

Unique and delicious! This Kansas City girl had her head turned by some whole hog Tennessee pulled pork. The cornbread cake was savory and almost crispy. So much character to this place and friendliest staff!

We wanted some good bbq for lunch on our way through TN. A friend who lives in the area recommended Martin's and we are glad they did! Friendly staff and food came out quick. My wife and I had the beef brisket, chips and baked beans. Brisket is so so tender. Chips are homemade and cooked dark, but that's how we like them. Baked beans are tangy and delicious. Our son enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich and he was glad he ordered the hush puppies.

Worst bbq I've ever had. The brisket was nothing but fat. The macaroni and cheese was watered down and lacked flavor. The coleslaw also lacked any kind of flavor. The ribs were not that bad but hardly had any meat on them. Definitely will never return.

Martin’s is centrally located and east to get to. Lunch time yesterday they were not busy, plenty of open seating. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food flavor was good. A couple big negatives. When I ordered the brisket I asked for lean meat and stated I do not care for the fat. When I got my order it was at least 50% fat and unable to eat it. When I was looking at the menu I initially had a hard time deciding as I was looking at the prices and was certain I was ordering too much food. The staff informed me that I was in fact ordering 2 meats and 2 sides for $25. Perhaps I am used to Mission BBQ at half that price. With tax and a tea for for 2 people was just under $60. Sorry, in my opinion, even though the flavor was 8/10 and service was 10/10 I won’t be back with those prices and with only being able to eat 1/2 of the meat I ordered.

Great food and nice atmosphere ?????

Probably the worst ribs I’ve ever had. Very dry. You’re better off getting ribs from the Publix across the street. The corn pancake thing has zero flavor. They also forgot my pecan pie. The only redeeming thing about our $53 order was the potato salad.

Apparently no one at this sorry excuse for a restaurant can read directions. I clearly said NO PICKLE NO COMEBACK SAUCE ON MY BURGER, yet it still ends up on there. I also very clearly said I wanted the Alabama vinegar cream sauce on my bbq sandwich, but they gave me the MOST PITIFUL DRY SANDWHICH! COMPLETELY DRY! Not to mention it’s all cold, and tastes very very old! I will be telling everyone I know DO NOT GO TO MARTINS!

Make sure to check your order if you get it to go.I placed a couple of online orders, one brisket plate, and one brisket taco meal.I arrived at the correct time to pick them up, they brought it out to my vehicle, I didn't check the order which I should have. When I got back home, the brisket taco was correct, but instead of a brisket platter I received a pulled pork platter.I called back to tell them about the mistake, and the person at Martin's BBQ joint told me that next time I should be more careful and to check the food before I leave...I asked them if I could bring the incorrect order back, and give the correct order. I was told no, that since I had already received food, I could not return it for the correct order.I was told if I wanted what I paid for, that I would have to buy it again...Definitely will never visit one of these locations ever again.Oh yeah, the food was just okay, nothing to brag about.

Staying across the street and asked the hotel person about any local bbq and they recommended Martin’s. Seriously, if you walk into a bbq place and it doesn’t smell just like Martin’s, leave! The food: we tried a pork sandwich, the bologna sandwich and the Mac and cheese, and it was terrific. I’m a former KCBS bbq judge. I’ve eaten a lot of bbq. Everything was very, very good. We will be back!!
