This was my mother's day dinner. My favorite place to get sushi! Great service every time we go. We always love to try something new this time we wanted something on the spicy side. We ended up trying the Russian Roulette. It is now our new fave we wished it was a bit spicier but it was still delicious. Can't wait to go back and new something else that's new
Could have been 5 starts. The food is soooo good! Maybe if the service was better tho the host is so rude. Not the first time she's been rude. Waitress didn't even introduce herself and was so hateful. The food makes the restaurant but I feel like maybe if service was better they would have more customers! Just be nice ! Not even chatty just polite! What about Manners?
Our waitress doesnt even need to be working there!!!! A waitress from the next table told our convo that i was talking to my husband she told our waitress what we had discussed i said we wait 20 mins and not busy i told my husband after he got back from the bathroom we was leaving she said no tip no service i got our baby and left will not be back
I'm a big guy and can put the food away but this place gives you more food than even I would care to take in one sitting. Best if half is kept for leftovers the next day. On top of that the food is actually really good. Every time I've eaten here the sushi is fresh, the rice is cooked right and all the meats are well seasoned but not over seasoned. Recommended 100%
After being seated we were ignored. Saw three tables seated after us get service, and their drinks with us sitting there for over 16 minutes before we walked out. The only reason I gave them 3 stars, the food has always been excellent in previous visits.
The food I ordered was wrong. The bathrooms were held open (not for cleaning) and smelled like soiled mold throughout the building. The lights were having a jam session and we’re flashing around the bar the whole time. There was only one server who clearly didn’t know the menu.
You can't judge a book by its cover. Sakura JSH is not impressive from the outside but more than exceeds expectations with its food and service. My wife and I decided to skip Christmas cooking and decided to eat a nice meal out instead. Not many options on Christmas day (I am glad that everyone in those restaurants can enjoy Christmas with family and friends) but I did some research and found that Sakura was open. Reviews were mixed so we were not sure what we would experience. The interior was very nice and we were seated immediately. The menu is so extensive it can be daunting. So many selections! We both decided on spring rolls and a sampler sushi plate for appetizers and Hibachi Steak for the main course. The meal included options to which we chose onion soup and salad. Our drinks came out quickly and the meals soon followed. Everything was fresh and hot and super delicious. Our waiter was perfect, very attentive but not too much so. I could not ask for better service. Prices are very very reasonable! I don't understand how some reviewers think this place is pricey! Our entire meal with drinks, two appetizers and two meals was only $32. We had enough food left over for another meal! My only negative comment is that we were in a booth which was our preference but not long after being seated, a family with two boys under 10 were seated right behind me in the next booth. Being young boys they were very energetic and the booths transferred their jumps and bumps right into my back. Not their fault, just the poor construction of the booths. We are older and like a nice quiet meal. With the restaurant not being very busy, an attentive Maitre d' would have seated the kids somewhere not right next to a couple like us but oh well, tis the season. LOL. Enjoy Sakura!
The food was very good. Had the shrimp tempura bento box. Service prompt and friendly. Only drawback was the darkness inside and the seats were definitely well used. But fine food at a reasonable price.
Was nice and quiet the food was good and hot everything seemed good service was alright the owner had to bring us out our food short on staff
The food was decent, the experience not so much. The booths are relatively small. I was pinned between the seat back and the table. To make it worse, even though there were plenty of open tables, the next person was seated right behind me, and the seat backs have some flex in them, so I'd get pushed into my table every time they moved. On top of all that, apparently, after we got our food, we turned invisible. Neither the person who sat us and took our drink order nor the person who took our food order were actually wait staff. While we sat there with my empty plate and my wife's half empty plate (she was waiting for a to-go container), the waitresses at every table around us acted like we weren't even there. My wife eventually got up, grabbed her own to-go container, and hunted somebody down to ask for the check. We were planning on getting ice cream for dessert, but we didn't want to wait around another hour for it.
