Service was a little slow but it was well worth it. Serving sizes were generous and the crust on the pizza and stromboli were crispy and still chewy on the inside. We had enough for leftovers the next day and they were just as good cold as piping hot.
The food was a little slow to come out, but it was worth the wait. The breadsticks were so good and the cheese ravioli was amazing. My husband said the alfredo was also good and my mom got ziti and liked it too. Wanted to try dessert but was too full! We will definitely be back though.
Absolutely delicious ? ?. I had a house salad with their homemade ranch which is amazing ? ?. I also had a medium BBQ chicken Stromboli that is huge! 2 meals for me and still able to share. My sister had a pasta dish, my dad had spaghetti ?, my mom had a shrimp ? salad ?. All the food was remarkable to include the garlic bread ? ? . Rachelle was our server, she made the visit the greatest!!!! Her personality, her customer service, and kind words will keep my family returning!!! Highly recommend if you are living nearby, but especially if you are visiting!
We were in Morristown and stopped here for dinner. Glad we stopped. They are now open on Monday. Excellent food, staff and service!!! My husband had Chicken Parmesan and I had Eggplant parmessan. Delicious.... Big portions, come hungry!!!
We visited on Mother’s Day and they had 2 waitresses working. After waiting 15 minutes to be seated the waitress took our drink order and left. It took her 15-20 minutes to return. In the mean time we heard yelling and screaming from the kitchen. When we got our drinks My water tasted strongly of soap and chemicals I sent it back only to have another that tastes the same. We were then told they ran out of ice and someone had to go some. It took well over an hour to receive our food. Our food came out one plate at a time and several cold plates and incorrect orders. We had to ask for napkins, plates and straws. We actually never received plates and the kids had to eat their pizza off of dirty appetizer plates. The pizza in a sub was cold and extremely dry. The chicken Parmesan was soggy And seemed to be rewarmed. All of the breading fell off the chicken. The Alfredo had no flavor and the chicken seemed to have a sour taste. The seafood pasta sauce also had an odd flavor. The calzones were okay as well as the pizza. We got a house salad and the whole thing tasted like pickles although we didn't get any pickles. This was some of the worst service we received considering there were many open tables in the restaurant. We constantly had to ask for drink refills as well as missing parts of our order. After leaving the restaurant it seems as if we were overcharged about $15. I would not recommend this place to anyone, as we will not be returning
Had high hopes for this place based on reviews. I value mom and pop companies and rarely write a bad review. Found a GLASS shard in my son's spinach broccoli calzone. Luckily he didn't swallow it or break a tooth or they would get worse than this review. The waiter being brand new, was kind and apologetic but I got the feeling they didn't care since the owner or manager didn't speak to us about it, only comped my son's calzone only. I got the feeling they didn't believe us and they made excuses. There was a child working that has to be under 13 with an apron on working in the back and on the register. The restroom had no soap and roof leaked by our table and they could have sat us anywhere as there were only 2 tables occupied. Garlic knots were delicious, but won't be back. Eat at your own risk. Will be reporting to the health inspector.
Great Italian food everything I have had is really good home cooked not brought in factory made then reheated like others in the area . They may be short staffed but it is definitely worth the wait . I give kudos to the chef because he food taste amazing ..last time I went there was no heat it seemed it was cold the fireplace wasn't working or no heat in bathrooms but other than that I enjoy going eating there will continue to go for some amazing real Italian food
Way way understaffed, and due to that, i had no ice in my sweet tea, took 15 mins to get it, then another 20 mins to ask for appetizers, and I had my order ready but wasn't asked, so then waited another 20 mins to come back and ask what we wanted, and waited another 20 for food to come(which is ok).. the food was great of course, but after eating, I waited 30mins for to go boxes I never got. I gave up n paid n left. This place has great food, but plz hire people, and plz help them learn people skills.
My husband and I love Portofino’s. They have a really great pizza dough recipe- anything bread related here is a winner. We are a big fan of the cheese garlic knots, pizza, and the calzones. Just note that if you order a calzone they are very big so come with an appetite!
I had my doubts before going because I knew this place used to be a Mexican restaurant in a dumpy motel. But my wife and I decided to go on Valentine's for dinner. The food was surprisingly good. And the little boy that was working was just as good as any adult if not better. He worked hard and did good. Guess we'll be going back again soon.
