The food is great. We come to morristown often for work and have lunch as a group here often. My only grievance is the speed of service. I have given the restaurant many opportunities and they are consistently slow to get get drink orders and deliver the check. We are always rushed to get back to work. If the speed of service and attentiveness were to improve they could probably turn tables more quickly increasing the sales and tips.
Menu items are not your everyday meals. Very good. Location is downtown. Service was good. We were there a long time catching up with friends and they never asked us to leave, kept bringing water as needed.
This place is absolutely adorable! Add it to your must visit list!! This restaurant is not only historical but has the most pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and impeccable service with a smile. The entire staff was friendly and personable. The food had so much flavor and the portions were perfect. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with broccoli and cheese soup and he ordered the meatballs with the broccoli and cheese soup. We shared them and they were both delicious. The broccoli and cheddar soup is so delicious you will want to lick the bowl clean.
We ate here today for the first time. The service was very good as well as the food. I ordered a steak sandwich ( fyi the menu says it comes with mayo lettuce and tomato so I ask for onion also expecting regular onion what I got was grilled onion on the sandwich and regular in the side I was charged ,75 cents but they were delicious). My husband got Ruben and we both got onion rings which was delicious . Overall very good and will return.
Nice looking establishment however the side of sauteed mushrooms came out cold, the "chicken parmesan" is actually grilled chicken with a pile of cheese on top, and we didn't get any bread with our meal (which every other table got). When we requested a different side, that side came out kind of warm. Very nice and friendly server. We came here while on vacation and were looking for local places to support, however the price and quality made us regret this place.I've never left a review before but since we came to this place because of the high reviews I just wanted to let my experience be known...
We were pleased. We stopped on a whim. Soup and Salad bar was fresh and a good variety for being small. Both our plates were good. I had grilled porkchops and they were seasoned well and tender...for pork chops.The only negative was we didn't care for the texture of the cheesecake. It was a firm type and a little dry/crumbly for our tastes but we are NOT cheesecake experts. We WILL return.
Nice little spot. Salad bar and soup were great. The portions of food were huge. Chicken tenders were meaty and juicy. The bf got the French dip, and it was even tasty. I don’t normally like those. I feel like you can’t go wrong if you are looking for a good meal here.
Filet mignon was awesome tonight. This was our 3rd visit and is always a treat. Salad bar is fresh, great chicken and rice soup, and love the meatball appetizers. The small details matter. Friendly staff, food prepared to perfection, the presentation is pretty, cold butter for baked potatoes, and lighting and atmosphere is perfect and competitively priced.
First time eating there. The food was excellent and the salad bar was great quality lettuce and all the toppings was also! And our waitress Jada was very kind and nice and on the spot with her service to our table!!!!
I can say I didn't enjoy this place much. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean, but the food I received was not good. Some other people might enjoy it, but it was very very bland for my taste.
