I got my orders to go the food was delicious well seasoned well prepared
Told they couldn’t serve anyone as they were changing shifts and had no cook ?. This has happened twice at this location.
don't recommend poor customer service
Noticed one young cook dropping cut ham putting it back in the pan instead of throwing it away not as clean as I thought they once were and as I kept watching I was told to go to my car and they would call me waited about 20mins went back in still wasn't ready 10more minutes I finally got a call not to mention I stood inside for about 15-20minutes before being told to wait in my car wait time was quite ridiculous (which I do understand it's father's day so I did expect to wait a little longer ) but plenty of people no masks but did have gloves on but yeah definitely won't be back to this location at all
I gave 4 stars because of the cook and the food. I asked an employee why was she leaning on the counter just watching the cook when he was beyond backed up with orders. She said "I'm a waiter I serve people and cnt you see dine-in is not open?". Another two employees come off break and one talks about getting drunk but the other at least restock things need around the cook. I know that you are not allow to cook if you are not certified but u can still help with little things. So My question is why hire 3 night servers when their is no dine in available? Two cooks and cashier would be more appropriate to me.
I have been to countless Waffle House locations over the past 30 years. This location is the ABSOLUTE WORST.I have entered this location 5 times over the past month during mid day. They close the seating area and serve Take out ONLY. The tables are covered with dirty dishes. All while the staff amount each time has been 5+. They are standing around complaining, while being just short of rude to customers because it appears they are being bothered.I will never stop at this location again, even though it is only blocks from my jobsite. The staff and management are both responsible for allowing this behavior to be witnessed by the public.
This waffle house was the best one that I've ever eaten at! I am a true fan of fried eggs so I go to allot of waffle houses. Literally every city or State I visit, waffle house is always my go to for breakfast food. I ordered four scrambled eggs with cheese and they were prepared perfectly. They weren't too runny or too hard. It's either-or at every other location I've ever visited but never just right like I love them! I ate all my eggs before I even touched anything else. Kiss the cook at this location for preparing tasty food that's cooked at the right temperatures. The cook was a 25-35 yr old black male. This guy got my food ready in a very timely manner and every item was cooked perfectly. Never had this experience at a waffle house. Everrr! Kudos for food. Now Let's talk cleanliness:The guest dining area was fairly clean. No dirty tables at all, neither were the floors or bathroom dirty, but the food preparation area needs a deep clean. The walls under and behind the grills were drenched in old grease and food particles. A clean as you go policy should be implemented promptly because, although the equipment was in consistent use, there shouldn't be leftover food particles and scraps present from the orders prepared before the current guest.. I observed a blonde haired woman/employee exit the restroom after appearing to have washed her hands but didn't wash her hands again when she entered the food prep area. She appeared to be Management, which was quit surprising to me. Also other employees took a break and after finishing their personal meals, they did not proceed to wash their hands immediately before going back into work tasks. The cook failed to change gloves when he went from cooking on the grill, to the refrigerator to grab ingredients, grabbing uncooked food, or to the waffle maker, and then after placing ready to eat food on platters all within the same glove use.Good safety is so very important and the staff as well as management really need training, as well as consistent development in this store. We have to quit lacking in the food service industry and quit using an employee shortage from COVID 19 pandemic as an excuse to cut corners on facility cleanliness and commendable customer service. I don't believe we should be allowed to even open the doors of restaurants If the cleanliness isn't up to par.Although a food Bourne illness hasn't occurred from this establishment, the things I observed are the exact stepping stones needed to start one. The cross contamination from the improper glove usage alone contributed to me having an upset stomach filled with trapped gas later on in the night while resting. It was excruciating for about an hr and a half or two. Since I only eat 1 meal a day, everyday, I'm sure that those seemingly small acts during preparation was the cause of my discomfort. Luckily I have a very strong immune system and take probiotics regularly because of my food safety profession. Tasting, chewing, and consuming different food daily can be very dangerous. Please owners or corporate, take this review very serious. Immediate correction in food safety is in order for most waffle house locations in the Midsouth. The customer service was very pleasant as well! My orders were correct and nothing was missing. The cashier was informative about prices and menu items. Everyone spoke professionally and wore a big smile. The employees seemed to enjoy working with each other in which is very important.Great experience. Would've been a near perfect visit if the prep areas didn't need cleaning and if the necessary handwashing procedures were in play. But since this was the best waffle house I've ever eaten at, I only took one star from your 5 star rate as opposed to only giving one star usually to any food safety violation.I'm confident this establishment will clean up and redeem themselves because it has the potential of being one of, if not the best location in the chain once corrected.
The staff is hilarious… I had a to go order, but I was entertained to the whole time I was there
Guest and I were hungry, craving WH. We were there 3-5 minutes before being told they were doing carry out only because there was a single server. Now we saw at least 7 maybe 8 people in WH uniforms. I can't imagine they had that big a night shift.Guest and I were hungry, tired, cranky. Better communication and it's likely I'd ignored this review request.
Good food with mid service but that is the waffle house experience. Table was slightly dirty and had no ketchup sugar for coffee or hot sauce
