I went to Tops Barbecue last night to get my guys at work some food. The entire order was incorrect we went right before closing so we couldn’t get our order fixed right away. I called this morning and spoke with the manager crystal. Crystal took great care of me no problems at all. Really appreciate Crystal for understanding. Thanks a lot great attitude and makes sure the customer is happy.
Was told about TOPS on Summer Ave in Memphis Tn while home in Baltimore MD. GREAT SERVICE, EXCEPTIONAL BEEF BRISKET. It was a really good dining experience.Thanx to the Staff my visit was on point.See you soon !!!!
I ordered online for curbside. I placed the order at 1:40pm. I pulled up around 1:47pm and clicked the link to let them know I was here around 1:50. I sat in the car and waited but at 2pm no one had come out. There was only one car in the driveway when I pulled up and no one inside. I went inside and saw one girl at the drive thru helping a client and another girl with her phone in the back at the door. I explained that I was waiting on a curbside order. The girl that was in the back started asking other co workers if we had an online order. The young lady in the drive through found the order. It had just been sitting at the counter. The girl that came from the back started saying that there is nothing to let them know they have an order. I told her that their sign says to click the link when we arrive and I did that. She went in to try to give that tired explanation again and I told her to save it because it was just an excuse. She got mad and stormed to the back talking about how nice she was to me and calling me names and yelling. I have seen this same girl treat other customers that way. She has an attitude every single time I see her. This was just my first time dealing with her. The other two ladies were nice but couldn’t seem to control the other. They looked pretty uncomfortable to be honest. It’s sad that you have people working for you that clearly just don’t like people. I won’t be visiting there again. I recommend anyone looking to avoid this location. Obviously, they are going to let her keep working here while treating their customers with no respect.
Excellent customer service, food is always fresh! Kaytie, Lil D, D-Money and Brian are the crew that makes it work. Cant forget Angela and Regina! This is the best TOPS in the city and I will always visit this location! Keep up the great work KAYTIE!!!
I’m a Texas boy, but I appreciate BBQ from all over the nation. Normally, the only thing that will get me upset enough to write a bad review is dry meat. Well, Tops meat wasn’t dry (maybe the ribs were, a bit). The brisket was tender, juicy, and…gross. I’m not sure how Tops managed it, but I order a half pound of the stuff and threw 3/4 of it away. Might as well have lit my mine on fire. My wife’s burger was only half eaten, too. Just plain NOT GOOD. If this is Memphis BBQ, I think I’ll stay in Texas. On the bright side: Nice beans!
6 of the 11 tables are dirty, and only one dine in customer is here. No reason they can’t clean these tables. The cashier was more concerned with continuing his conversation with a looouuuud customer who already had their food, rather than taking my order. Makes McDonald’s look like Ruth’s Chris
The barbecue is pretty good but the barbecue sauce that they give you in the packs do not taste like the one they have already made in the store. There is a big difference and I know because I grew up eating Tops Barbecue.
It was so Delicious ? everything was good . going back next week every one was so friendly and treat the customer with respect . good job.

I had such a wonderful experience here!! The staff was very welcoming and the food was on point. I had a pretty big order and everything was accurate. I’m so happy about who ever took this store over, there doing such a wonderful job!!!
