This is the worst Tokyo grill location in Memphis. They are rude and never say thank you or you’re welcome. The dad (older man) always yells at the woman and child working there. This is the second or third time I have gotten sick from their sushi AND the fried rice. They serve old food and should be shut down. The Park Ave location is cleaner, they’re friendlier, and everything is delicious!
I ordered pick up from DoorDash. Once I arrived, I gave them my name (Christian W) and they stated someone picked my order up an hour ago. I tried to explain that it was a PICK-UP order and she stated no. I even showed the details. Then she proceeded to tell me if I wanted my food I would have to pay again. That’s bad business. Then they are always rude!!!!!!!! The workers here never take accountability when they are wrong. They simply rush you and want you to repay. Luckily DoorDash refunded me but it’s still how she acted that truly caused this to go south.
Terrible. None of what they sell is what it is actually supposed to be. The spicy tuna rolls are tuna and Mayo blended together and rolled in rice. The crab Rangoon also has mayonnaise and comes with a mayonnaise sauce. I ordered a plate that was supposed to be chicken and shrimp and scallops and vegetables and got a container of noodles with chicken and hard boiled eggs in a broth. I threw it all away I wish there was a Japanese restaurant in Memphis that actually served Japanese food.
Fantastic food in my opinion. The Sushi there made me a believer. Fried rice is outstanding with any meat or veggie of your choice. I'm just sad I didn't find this place sooner.
I no ordered the hibachi salmon and hurricane roll. The hibachi was ok. I’m disappointed in the sushi though.They advertised it as lobster but when it came it was imitation crab.
Quick service. Food fresh and hot! I ordered chicken hibachi, and an order of shrimp/ steak fired rice. The whole meal was winning! Very large portions, enough rice to share between me and my husband. Only con was i wanted to order a roll, but their credit card reader was down and cash payment was the only option to pay. I only had $22 cash on hand, and that wasn't enough to add a roll. What I noticed after ordering made me happy I didn't have enough money to order one. The guy making rolls were wearing gloves, but he stopped during the process to pick up and use his cellphone, then returned making the rolls with the same dam gloves!!
The food is amazing, but due to short staffing the wait was over 45 minutes for a meal that used to take 15. Still... Delicious!
Soooo good!!! It's just sooo good and portions are wonderful! I just keep coming back or ordering!? ?? JUST delicious every freaking time!!!
We ordered over the phone and they told us our order would be ready in 15 minutes. We get there 15-20 mins later and have to wait another 30 in the cramped lobby. The food was hot, but the veggies were barely cooked (with zero mushrooms!) and the rice was bland and stale. A drive thru would have been cheaper and better honestly.
Convenient place to take out sushi. $14 for this box, acceptable. No dine-in.
