Truly a 1 star hotel as it relates to service and the guest rooms! These are the smallest rooms ever 180 sqf! My bathroom at home is larger then entire room and bathroom! Zero amenities in room not a coffee maker or refrigerator! Awful tiny bathroom! Called for coffeemaker and they never brought it!
It's a lovely place. Ducks walk through it. Beds are comfortable. Service was a bit slow and uneven - but that's the case everywhere these days. Duck walk is fun, but extremely crowded. Difficult to see much. The Duck Palace and rooftop view are quite nice.
I stay at the Peabody once a quarter! You will not find a more service centered hotel anywhere in the south, maybe the country! My expectations are always exceeded! If you have the opportunity to have Jeffrey help with getting you in and out of the hotel you have been blessed!! Don't forget to be generous with Jeffrey's tip, he deserves it!
Your assumption is misleading. The hotel has history and is beautiful The ducks are fun and create excitement for the lobby and bar areas. That was the most enjoyable part for us. Condition of bathroom was a disappointment. Plumbing not good and needs attention.
Rooms were very outdated and not very well maintained as far as just sloppy and patchy repair work. House staff and valet were extremely helpful and friendly. I was not told where to obtain complimentary coffee or continental breakfast nor were we told there was pool access in my service fee and no robes in the room as expected per description
It was an incredible experience. The service my wife and I received was the best. All staff we encountered went above and beyond. The room was excellent; very clean and in order. Sleeping on the bed was an out of body experience- it was extremely comfortable. The Peabody is walking distance to many attractions. We took the history tour with "The Duck Master" and visited the memorabilia room. The restaurant was excellent- We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Everyday we had the "Chocolate Duck" for dessert. What a beautiful and tasty duck. I enjoyed "The Peabody Jack Daniels Select" bottle my wife gave to me. The bartender showed me the history behind the process. It is displayed at "The Corner Bar". Every evening we found ourselves at "The Lobby Bar". What a beautiful lobby and bar. The service was impeccable. The "Ducky" was a must for my wife (Little rubber ducks floating inside the drinks). Now they are displayed in our home bar. The "Duck March" was such a unique experience I had to visit the one and only "Lansky" at the lobby. My wife persuaded me to make a purchase...so I did. Being an Elvis fan I had to get myself a couple of suits, shirts and pants. We talked to Mr. Lansky himself; He autographed a book for us -WOW what an experience. Thank you to "The Duck Master", the waiters, bartenders, "The Piano Player" at the lobby every evening- "Play it again Sam" and "Mr. Lansky" for making our stay at The Peabody such a memorable experience. I felt like if I was in another period in time-what grace, style and elegance. Looking forward to going back. Highly recommend it.
Nothing but problems with the bathroom shower. Water leaked all over the floor and onto the carpeting. Dangerous situation. AC went out on second day, but was fixed. Cockroach greeted us on our day of departure. We were on the Club Level. Service was excellent from Valet Parking, Bellman, Lobby servers, room attendant, Martina, and staff in Club Level Lounge. Hotel is in dire need of serious repair. Advised front desk our room should not be assigned to another guest until they fix the water problem. They did compensate us for three nights overnight valet parking.
We didn't stay here at the hotel, but visited for the 11am parade of the ducks, which was kinda fun. Get here 30 minutes early, though, if you want to get a decent view. The lobby is very nice and there are some gift shops and restaurants.
What a classy place. Almost everyone was very friendly, especially our pregnant cocktail waitress, Mary in the Corner Bar, and Kenon made my experience as Honorary Duckmaster amazing!! The hotel is beautiful. The room was nice (bathroom is tiny, but that didn’t matter). Check-in person could have been more friendly - was surprised at the cold greeting. The guy in the Bakery was on his phone the whole time. But all in all it was a phenomenal experience!!! Especially the duck March!!!
The best place to stay for over all customer service. Food was fantastic. But in a world where there is so much hustle and bustle this place takes you to a time of total relaxation. In a world where customer service is all but gone this place provides the best
