Food was excellent!! The atmosphere is great. The service could use some improvement, but it seemed they were short on staff so I totally understand that. Great place check it out if your downtown!!

I haven't been reviewing much since the pandemic, even though it would have been a great time to complain about all the places that packed up abysmal portions and countless missing or completely wrong orders. But The Nine Thai Sushi has proved a fitting replacement for the long beloved Bhan Thai and my old (and long gone) favorite, Sawadii (where we were once at one of the only occupied tables in a room with Morgan Freeman, who was dining with his family. I regret to this day not asking for a selfie or even an autograph from one of my favorite actors).I have never stepped inside The Nine Thai Sushi. My husband always picks up our orders. I can't say anything about atmosphere or service. But I can say that the Drunken Noodles (or Kee Mao) that comes home in those Styrofoam containers is hands down the best Drunken Noodles I have ever eaten. (Though they could entice another form of customer if they collaborated with project greenfork and lost the Styrofoam).I haven't been able to try the curries because I can't get past the noodles. My favorite has always been Masaman, but no one has ever been able to match Sawadii (they would put sliced avocado and potatoes in it, which is now how I prepare it at home).Last night, we also had two sushi rolls turned into handrolls. Spicy Tuna and Salmon Avocado. They did not disappoint and were better than the ones we get at other sushi restaurants.Only two "minor" complaints I'm going to mention. One is the addition of beef to the drunken noodles. It costs $3 extra and you can pick how well you want it cooked, but no matter what you choose, it will arrive well done. That doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is the lack of flavor. It's just a bland slab of sliced meat. It would make a huge difference if it was marinated in the same noodle sauce or something to give it flavor. This last order I decided to go with the chicken that doesn't cost extra and it was so much better. My husband agreed even though he believes beef is the best meat for this noodle dish. He plans to order it with chicken from now on after trying mine. The second thing is spice level. Medium seems to mean different things to different people. The first time I ordered it medium, it was just spicy enough that I had to take a few pauses to drink something. Just where I wanted it. Last night, medium was so hot that I had to refill my glass of water twice before I had eaten a quarter of my food. I was so full of water, I had to stop eating halfway because I had no room in my belly. Which was hard because it tasted so amazing, I wanted to keep going. My husband is an even bigger lightweight and was struggling. But mild in the past hasn't been spicy enough. So what I'm trying to say is that it would be nice if there was some spice consistency.Overall, if you love drunken noodles - The Nine Thai Sushi does them right. My husband even said they were one of the top things he has ever put in his mouth (high praise indeed if you knew how adventurous he is with trying new foods). We will eventually need to experience more menu items to give a more expanded review.

Nice Thai eatery with sweet owners. We stopped by for dinner on weekday night. It was not too busy. The guy taking orders was very smiling and welcoming. Although he got a serious communication problem in English. We ordered crab Rangoon to start with. I ate ground chicken with basil that comes with rice on side. My friend ordered the same thing with a side of fried rice. And my another friend ate two types of sushi rolls. The sushi was decent. The friend rice was terrific. The ground chicken with basil was good, however, we couldn’t smell any basil in it! So we were confused, whether the order was rightly conveyed or not, as the waiter was not fluent in English! However, the entree dish was good. We ate medium spicy, which was no spicy at all! If you be are indian/ Asian, or if you can tolerate high spice level, then go for the ‘spicy’ option. Overall, the food was pretty decent.

My only regret is finishing my entire plate and not having leftovers for the next day. We walked in late and the staff were so accommodating, we were served quickly, and the red curry with duck was delicious. Will be back!

I have had pad thai at several places across the country, and this was my favorite. I had to come back for lunch the next day because it was so good! My server was the sweetest as well! I would give more than five stars if I could! Highly recommend!!

This place is so cute! The staff were so sweet and the food was delicious. I've been there twice and each time I've been impressed. As a vegan I'm a bit of a Curry connoisseur, and both times I loved them as well as the tofu appetizer.

Very good food! Everyone in our group enjoyed their food and would definitely come back! Very polite server. Drunken noodles and suchi were great.

Awesome service! But good didn't taste fresh. Had the mango sticky rice for dessert and it definitely wasn't the best I've tried. Had a fishy taste, didn't taste like it had coconut milk at all but a watery/sugary mix instead.

Fantastic sushi and friendly staff.

Waited an additional 45 minutes to pick up an online order past when it was meant to be ready. Had to walk to the back of the restaurant by the kitchen and find it myself. I was the only person waiting by the front door for the better part of that 45 minutes. They don't have a hostess, but none of the waiters who had seated other people came up to me. 10 seconds to ask me if I was picking up an online order would've saved me 45 minutes of my life.Added bonus: the takeout box was on its side inside a plastic bag when I grabbed it, so the box had leaked all of its sauce into the plastic bag it was in. Got the pleasure of dealing with that mess when I got home. Oh! And it was cold. The food itself (drunken noodles) was not terrible, but was definitely the worst out of the few orders of drunken noodles I've tried from different places.
