It is a great relaxing time to walk around and see everything. Merchandise is decently priced. Staff is a bit slow and not many registers open, but we were there on a Tuesday morning, so not that surprising. Food at The Lookout was a little pricey, but very good.
very interesting place to visit.... didn't buy anything but the observation decks have an amazing view.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and Walburger was fantastic! Staff kept it together when the entire building had to be evacuated for “fire” mishap. All in all our 1st experience was fantastic and we will definitely never forget our trip!
We had a wonderful meal with an amazing view of the city! Staff couldn’t have been nicer and they accommodated our requests. If I could give it higher than 5 stars, I would! We will definitely be back!
The view and food are worth it. However the staff could use some training on the phone when making my reservation the gal was very short and didn't make sense. She wasn't warm and welcoming either. Cost was ok. Between the lift tickets and cost of the food your paying for the view. Staff was very rushed. I will say that the appetizers are the only thing that is really out of the ordinary on the menu and worth the expense. The other entries are cooked the same as every where. I was really expecting a 5 star dining experience. Last the lift up is open to anyone who will pay so we did hear and see some of the People from Walmart web site right outside our window.
Having had a long walk around Memphis we wanted to relax and eat before enjoying the store, which is one of my husbands favourites. We found that to get up to the restaurant you are obliged to pay the $8 fee for the Observation Deck, which quite frankly is a rip off. Small lunch menu with expensive prices. It took ages for our server to eventually come over to take our order. We ordered an appetiser of crab cakes for me and a burger for my husband. We waited, and waited, and could see other diners who cam in after us enjoying their food, and still we waited. I called the waitress over, and asked for more water and would our food be long, she was very short and said it was nearly ready….. another wait before she brought drinks and longer for the food to eventually arrive over half an hour from ordering. The salad with my crab cakes was very wilted, as though it had been out in the sun for a few hours, husband could hardly taste his burger for the dry bun it was in. A very disappointing meal, i understand why there were many empty tables.
This should have been a great meal. We wandered around the base of the pyramid aka Bass Pro Shop. So much stuff to see both merchandise and many interesting exhibits ie the aquarium, plus pools of fish and even alligators. The kids would have a ball. We took the elevator to the Lookouts and had an awesome view of Memphis and the Mississippi over to Arkansas. It’s really worth the $8 per adult. 5-12;$5 and 4 an under free So the restaurant looked like fun and we didn’t have to wait for a table. We were both starved because as you walk through the restaurant to get to the outside lookouts, the smells of cooking impact your senses. Karl, our server promptly came over and took our drink orders and our food orders, two medium rare cheeseburgers with a side of Parmesan cheese fries! Drinks arrived promptly and then we waited. About the time I was about to ask about our food, I saw another server deliver the same order to a nearby table. I was a little miffed because those people had sat quite a bit after us. Then Karl came over and explained that the other couple had been served our order and because they had set it down he couldn’t bring that food to us. So we waited another 14-20 minutes to get our order. Karl was quick to bring us a plate of fries to tide us over. Our cheeseburgers finally arrived and we asked Karl for some mayo. We watched him go over to another table and talked to those people for a while, and we never got the mayo we asked for. The cheeseburgers were delicious as were the Parmesan fries but service lacked the professionalism that one would expect at that restaurant.
Make sure you are there for sunsets. Food was best ever. Service slow, but quality of food and view made up for it. Pricey? Yes but, so was everywhere we went in Memphis.

Decided to finally tour Bass Pro at the Pyramid. Made reservations at The Lookout, and to my surprise, exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed the elevator ride up to the top and admired the views from the observation deck. Our waiter provided great service. The food and drinks were spot on. Overall, I'd definitely visit again, and recommend everyone to check it out.
