What the heck was that? I ordered 3 tacos at the counter despite there being no prices posted. What I received were 3 open faced flat flour tacos with meat in a bunch on top. I was directed to add stuffings at the bar. Well, no amount of onions and hot sauce would make these tacos anything but an unpleasant quick fill up.
Taqueria Los Molcajetes is great. My friends and family have been getting tacos, elotes, Mexican Cokes made with real sugar, and other delicious food and drink like tortas and horchata from this guy for like two years or more it seems like, and he is always friendly and hooks it up fat. We have never had any complaints, You should want to tip because the prices are so low and the food and service are so good! We love this truck!
If you like walking into a restaurant not knowing if you sit or go to the counter, doesn’t have a menu with prices or specifics of what your options are... this spot is just for you. We sat down only to figure that we had to go to the register to order. There’s a picture “menu” on the wall... tacos, doors, fajitas.... but what kind? And how much? I happen to speak Spanish which is the only reason why we didn’t leave. The food was good... the carnitas on the dope and quesadilla was so good. The corn tortillas were also homemade. The ambiance was nice... love the limes on the wall! That “wtf do i do” factor though is a massive turn off. Unlike other reviewers i do NOT feel like i just went to Mexico.
