I've been coming here for 18 years. Today I had to listen to employees talk about their personal issues in front of me. And totally ignored until they were done talking? I asked them to stop, this is my getaway, then I got argued with- little white girl. I am a LOCAL! I asked for the manager- "sorry not here". Of course not..protecting the plate.I will never be back! To ANY LOCATION!

This was as good a sushi restaurant as virtually in any city in which you might find yourself. Menu selections were varied and interesting. Quality of fish was first rate: fresh and delicious. Unqualified recommendation. Give it a try.

Brought my wife here for a dinner date. The sake was good, the edamame was good. I had the shogun and she had the daimyo. My lobster was cold and rubbery, the beef was too well done, hard to chew and drowning in sauce. The plain, white rice was probably one of the more enjoyable items. The sushi smelled slightly rancid and most of the fried vegetables weren't cooked all the way through and still has uncooked batter in the middle. Wife said her beef was also overcooked, but seemed pleased with the rest of her meal. Also, they don't seem to have any soy sauce that isn't low sodium. The wait staff was attentive and friendly.

Good Sushi. The New Years roll was delicious. Will be back for that again. Always have to go with my rainbow roll as well.

Sekisui has the best chirashi in Memphis! No other place comes close (and if you're wondering, Red Koi easily has the worst).

Ive eaten sushi all over the country and SekiSui midtown remains my favorite. Always a solid choice. The Jacksonville, Margot, house cucumber, and Debra roll. Nigiri regular and Uni(sea Urchin) nigiri. Miso soup and house salad.

It's still incredible! Visit their second restaurant, SOUTH MAIIN SUSHI, located downtown, for the greatest sushi in town. Mr Kenny and Lee roll sushi like the rockstars they are.

This place seems to have gotten worse. This sushi was poorly made, it fell apart and was bland.

We ordered then they brought out our 1st dish and my friends and mine were both burnt! We asked them to take it back and bring us another. Waitress came back and said they didn't have any more of that dish. She said she couldn't order anything else from the kitchen because they were renovating it. What??? We finally got the couple of other things we ordered but they really didn't act like they cared at all about us or our food. Last time we'll go there!

It’s still amazing! For the best sushi in the city go to their other restaurant SOUTH MAIIN SUSHI located downtown. Lee & Mr Kenny roll sushi like the rockstars that they are.
