No gloves on that's all I can say EVERYBODY touching everything back there and nobody wash their hands I worked there 1 day and I can't they amaze me on how ? they were with every process back there.
It is a Rare occasion that I travel to this area, but anytime I doShlotzskys is my #1 choice.Myself and two friends shared lunch around 1pm today (fairly busy)Everything was Perfect and tasted fresh. Doesn't get much better than this ?To the owners -You guys run a tight ship and it shows. Keep up the good work !
Went for lunch, got an amazing sandwich. Liked it so much I went back for dinner and my sandwich was awful. Burnt salami, soggy bread, almost no lettuce, and there were olives on it that someone had tried to pick off because I ordered no olives. Will definitely try again for lunch, but needs a better night kitchen apparently.
I emailed the order the day before. I got receipt that the order was received. I informed them that I would pick up at 11:30. When I got there at about 11:40, all of my order was not ready because I noticed t didn't have enough items. I was told that they were making three more of my box lunches and I told them a pizza was missing too.. Ii let her know the pizza that was in the box had to be cold. She took it to the back to keep warm. They finally brought the other orders out and added to my bags. I asked her to please double check because I didn't want to get all the way to work and some ones order was missing. She reassured me that she checked. I got to work and one lunch was missing. Take in mind I waited 45 minutes for an order that was ordered a day in advance per their request. The round trip took forty minutes. I called and asked if they could deliver it and was told no. We were having an event at work and I wasn't going to leave again for that amount of time. We shared with the one whose lunch was missing. I got to work late with the lunches and threw our itinerary completely off!
This location verbally abuses their employees on a daily basis, schedules them for work then tells them to go home hours before they are suppose to get off sometimes even shortly after they get there. Linda has a big issue with almost every employee. The food might be good and I'm surprised it is seeing how the employees are treated there.
They do not honor BOGO pizza on Wednesday even with it being on the menu.
The owner Paul contacted me offering a gift card and apologized for the confusion and problems with the communication… the bread was supposed to be a problem with the yeast proofing machine… would have been better addressed with that information upfront… saving myself ( along with him) the frustrations over such a small amount of money and wanting to just replace something that was uneatable I love schlotzskys… far better than other sandwiches shops … even the larger chains… hopefully this will not happen again… I’m definitely willing to go back .. second chances should always be given… I’ve been there more than a 100 times while living in memphis… on any other day it would have received a high review… I’m editing this review… wanting to share that after everything played out on sunday..paul reached out…. trying to Rectify… everything .. that should have been what happened in the beginning but taking into consideration covid effects on every restaurant’s business being short staffed… it’s a possibility everything was just a miscommunication…. the machine has been repaired… and Paul has contacted me a few more times… wanting to make sure everything was good… This review has been shortened and edited… I appreciate Paul reaching out to me… as mentioned before.. I am sorry it played out in the manner it did… I stand by my review as completely honest.. and upfront but I’d like this restaurant to remain here for a long time… usually it’s a fabulous warm sandwich shop also offering pizza and soups… good as well… as I am expressing my appreciation for his kindness following everything… written communication was a better way to deal with the issue… My wish for schlotzskys would be ( staying in memphis) remaining successful with the ability to overcome the challenging issues of covid… So i’m taking a leap of faith … owner paul hung up on me after pointing out that my sandwiches were brick hard unable of being eaten … sadly they’re my favorite sandwich shop returning them wasn’t possible I went straight to chemotherapy after picking them up .. i had to throw them away… as i’m a long time customer .. i called immediately the staff was helpful trying to bridge the language Barrier… which was expressed by his employees.. not myself.. i wasn’t asking for the world .. tried emailing and sent him the photos.. no response saying they were unable to be opened.. i had every intentions of not reviewing or posting the photos.. thinking they’ve been my favorite for years but without offering me any kind of respect… or understanding of what shouldn’t have happened.. It was an unavoidable situation…
My husband just drove an hour for our favorite sandwich, the original. He got home instead with a turkey sandwich with Mayo on a bun that is so hard it isn’t edible. Have loved this place in the past but today was a complete bust.
I love Schlotzsky's, but apparently this location doesn't honor the promotions sent out via email by the company. At least, they didn't today. Really disappointing.
I wish you all could deliver to St.Louis.Amazing food.Best first time experience for my taste buds.
