The atmosphere very quiet and you can hear your conversation at your table without yelling....it was very different than other restaurants with the same style menu. I will definitely be back with my fiancee. ❤❤❤❤❤
We ordered four pounds of crayfish and ½ pound of sausage for carry out. The food was very well packed and still hot when we arrived at the pick nick area. The food was very good, tasty, and spicy. You will get one corn and three potatoes per pound of crayfish. There was plenty of food for two people. I can highly recommend eating at this place.
Every time I visit this location, and most recently the Winchester location, the egg yolks are always grey. I’ve asked servers if I could get fresh eggs and was told “that’s how they always come”. I’ve been to many different seafood places and ordered the eggs and have not had this experience. Seems to be universal with Rex Hook specifically. Even went to Red Pier and did not experience this. Aside from that, most of the food and seasonings are good .
It wasn't crowded. The waiter was very attentive and brought out our food quickly enough for us to return from an hour lunch on time. We had seafood boils. They have decent specials
I went to another location and had excellent service. So I decided to try this location that is closer to my home. The on-line ordering was easy. My ID and card were verified upon arrival. But I had to wait 15 mins to get order. I also was reprinted a receipt and the tip was circled. I was going to tip in cash once the service was complete. It got worse, first there was not as much food as patrons who dined in the establishment. Second, the boils appeared as they were thrown together and not how they were on the receipt. Example: I ordered additional egg and sausage but it was in my husband's bag. My husband ordered a boil with shrimp and clams. There were more clam shells in his bag than clams.Honestly, their staff did greet me and ask could they hell. And it was clean. But I'll make the trip to the other location before I return. Customer service is everything.

This is one of the most underrated places in Memphis, coming from someone who has lived here 5+ years.Their Cajun is simple, but addictively delicious. It's truly just genuinely good food. Don't be scared by the prices, because the amount of food you get for your money is enough to feed a hungry family. All of the staff inside are extremely friendly. The two Asian women at the front counter were especially helpful and polite.I'm upset I didn't try out this place sooner, it's one of my new favorites. If you are unsure what to get, try the sampler platter. It's a bit of everything, and it's great.I have zero complaints what-so-ever, perfect experience.
