Id like to start by saying thank you, on the border, for having such a long wait time I went to discover the best Mexican in Memphis instead. This really is my favorite place to eat. The salsa, great. Chips, Great. Got a dish with peppers, which while cooked, weren't burnt in the slightest. You can tell the food is made by someone who is passionate about it. The service is outstanding. I went twice in like three days it was that good. As a Texan, I salute the food here. I didn't think it was possible to get that great Mexican food this far north, but I was happy to find my favorite place. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. However many stars there are, they belong here.
Good food! Good atmosphere!I sat inside. But, they have a great outside area.
I can't say enough good things about this place. The family that runs it is genuinely nice, they are just a joy to interact with. The food is great, and reasonably priced. Sad I don't live nearby anymore.
Try “My Favorite Place” restaurant on Germantown Pkwy. It is my favorite place for Mexican. Great chips and salsa and a wonderful spacious patio. I get a dish called Molcajete. It comes in a mortar and pestle type vessel that is made from volcanic rock and filled with shrimp, steak, chorizo, and chicken. It is mixed with a spicy sauce, red and greenbell peppers, and onions. It is served with 3 tortillas (corn or flour), Mexican rice, and refried beans. It is delicious and very filling. They serve you a lot, so you will probably have leftovers. Everything is good that we have had. Also, it is inexpensive. I hope you’ll try it. Enjoy.
Still one of Cordova's favorite Mexican restaurant. Family operated. Awesome patio and owner Dennis is pleased to create off-menu items! Expect to wait a bit to be served.
First time there with a daughter that's been there many times. Food was GOOD!!! Our waitress was very helpful at first, but them come back to check on us for drink refills. Had to ask two others to help us. But otherwise, no complaints.
The service was good, but I wasn't expecting a expensive meal for what we ordered. I had dined at a similar restaurant and I remember paying way less and the food was way better. Definitely not my favorite place.
The server was friendly and very nice and attentive, and the fried chicken appetizer was off the chain (that means it was very very good??)
Tasteless food and service was subpar. Waitress was unfriendly. Didn’t feel welcome. Unseasoned guacamole. No limes, no garlic and no salt. Plain tacos. No cheese, no lime. Canned black beans. They didn’t even offer a take out tray. This used to be one of my favorite places. I’m sorry I brought my guest here. Chips and salsa were the best thing about this restaurant.
If you are already depressed, as I am,, that our beloved Panchos Mexican Restaurant is in its death throes.... cheer up..This place is at least as good as Panchos with a better location. I've eaten their burrito, enchiladas, Tacos, .....everything is good. The staff are very friendly and very helpful and quick and courteous. What else do you want out of your Mexican restaurant besides a good ? margarita ? They have those too.
