Hostess was confused, told us there would be a private party at 4 and that the kitchen was closed. Server verified that was incorrect! Female server rushed us to order and was very short with us. We were just getting drinks after work to unwind, I'll never go back here. Ordered guacamole and a agave margarita. Guacamole had no flavor and was kid sized. Agave tasted great, but didn't have a drop of alcohol. I still tipped server 20%, because I know they depend on tips, but I will definitely not be returning

Unfortunately we were so disappointed ? my husband and I grew up in Memphis and having special date nights here at Molly's, was always a treat. We moved to Texas 11 years ago and when ever we come home to visit we love visiting our favorite food spots! My Mexican taco salad was not tex-Mex at all and my husband, and daughters dishes were missing cultural flavors and tasted like a good cook fixed them, just not for a Tex-Mex Restaurant! So very disappointing! It was more like taco Tuesday at home! Really if you go to a Mexican restaurant to enjoy Mexican culture through food and when you arrive there's no one there with the cultural background ? cooking the food, serving the food or eating the food! RUN!

Hands down best Mexican food in Memphis! Best salsa, chips, and LOVE the Kelly's bean dip. Great service, delicious food - it doesn't get better than Molly's!

I have mixed feelings about my dining experience. This was my first time at Molly's, and most likely my last. What was a cool date, turned uncomfortable and awkward.I was seated with my date, when a heavy set, older, white, lady wearing a hat came beckoning behind my date's back for me to come with her.I didn't know her, so my initial thought was just to ignore her. But she wouldn't go away. She insisted that I come with her. One of the other patrons yelled its OK, she's the owner. My date even said I should see what see wanted. So, I got up to see what she wanted. She pulls me to the side and tells me that one of the other customers thought I might be in distress and wanted to know if I need help. While I appreciate the concern for my safety, I don't know exactly what would have gave them the idea I was in distress. If I had of been in distress, she wasn't really discreet about it. This incidence was embarrassing and made the rest of the experience arkward. So much so, that I wanted to leave earlier than initially planned. We'd planned on having a few drinks but we only had one each. I took the rest of my food to go.I felt sorry for my date being accused of such. He's actually a gentle guy who sometimes speaks before he thinks and may come off as a bit pompous. But, I admire his honesty. I can't think of anything that was said or done that would make them think I was in distress.I had the steak quesadilla. It was mediocre at best. The agave margarita was good and potent. The waiter was attentive when he finally came to assist us. Would have been ok if it weren't for the overbearing experience and false distress assumption.

Cozy spot, nice atmosphere. Margarita's were awesome, especially the Sangria Swirl one. Tried the chicken Flautas, had to get a side of white cheese dip excuse they were a bit bland. The salsa with the chips had a bit of chili flavor as well as the refried beans. Would go back for the drinks.

At first the brown chips and coriander filled salsa make you hopeful. They make you think this place is going to be Mexican with a je ne sais quoi. The margaritas are good and are well balanced. However, the meal is far from an authentic Mexican food. The beans taste more like chilli than the traditional refried beans. The rice felt more like Italian rice cooked with tomatoes than Mexican rice. The steak was pretty good and well cooked but poorly seasoned. The tortilla felt stiff and a bit plasticky, almost like mass produced flour tortillas. Overall the food is not bad, but a far cry from authentic Mexican. The service was really good however. Would give it 3 stars but for 50 $ I don't think it was worth it.

The food was horrible. No seasoning at all just to much pepper. If you have no taste in food go here cause it’s disgusting and I will never go back there. Only thing good was the mimosa. I would not recommend here go somewhere else. Waitress was very friendly and she did great. Service and atmosphere is good. They just got horrible food.

The food was good, but the service was very slow. 45 minutes for a quesedilla, spinach enchiladas and 3 tacos shouldn't be that hard, especially when the restaurant was half full. I work in the industry and understand staffing issues, but we think our server forgot us and didn't own up to it, which would have made it less irritating.

The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. I really enjoyed my meal and the environment. I can't wait to go back.

made things wrong again and again and again then waitress couldn't bring anything for my wife , I got my stuff ?. Massive waste of time AVOID IF YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY ! Quality of food has gone waaaaay down . Would not recommend to a friend , a enemy sure . Service and food is trash now .
