On arrival we were shown to a seat by Bart, friendly enough but a clean shirt would have been nice.. We ordered a starter to share, 2 drinks, 2 steak’s.. steaks where great, mash was cold and raw kale. When asked if we wanted anything else we answered no.. the bill arrived within seconds. Total was $160! not including a tip.. and I was charged to pay using a card. Great steak.. greedy price tag!!!

Based on reviews, we decided to try Mesquite Chophouse in downtown Memphis. Parking can be a problem, but fortunately there is a parking garage directly across the street from the restaurant. We were a bit disappointed that the menu available was less then what we reviewed on their website. For entrees, we selected Grilled Salmon over a Caesar Salad and Fettucine Alfredo topped with Blackened Chicken. KUDOS to the chef, the salmon was well seasoned, moist, and full of flavor. Likewise, the blackened chicken had a superb crusting of seasoning, moist, and tender. Zachary, our Server, was friendly and attentive. Overall, we had an enjoyable dining experience and would return.

The waitress service to the table was exceptional, ordered a rye bye steak that was ordered medium, not prepared to my liking. The cook was not pleased by me sending the steak back on refire. Expressed total dismay in front of me. The owner came to the table to express concern and my food was remade to my full liking. The owner made all well. I appreciate that..

First, we were never ask if we wanted anything to drink other than water. My filet was undercooked and the quality of meat was comparable to a cut I could get at Kroger. My girlfriends salmon was over seasoned and mediocre at best. The mash potatoes were bland and the crab in the Mac n cheese was clearly low quality imitation. The cocktail menu had grease stains all over it and the restaurant could use dusting! The only positive part of our experience was leaving. I am honestly more embarrassed that I took my girlfriend on a date here than I am disappointed in the terrible experience.

A friend and I went to this place last night and the experience was terrible. I’ve been here before multiple times before the pandemic. But I will not be going back. We did not have a reservation but were hoping to sit at the bar. I waited for the someone to come to the hostess stand. After waiting for awhile I was finally approached by the a waiter and asked if bar seating was open. She snorted at me and shook her head no then walked off. I never got a verbal answer from her at all. I was taken a back by her rudeness and her lack communicating properly. I could understand if they were busy but there were only 12 people in the restaurant I counted. A lot of tables were open and two gentlemen at the bar were getting up to leave. I’m disappointed in the lack of customer service at this place.

This was a terrible experience. My $45 strip steak was filled with gristle and soft fat that is more characteristic of a ribeye. The crab cakes were fried too long or in oil that was too hot. The result was a very hard outer crust while the crab itself had no ftllavor. Iced tea was brewed too strong having an acidic after taste. Please save yourself the experience and try one of the other restaurants near by.

This is a nice quiet little spot for a good drink and steak. The bar is very nice and has lots of nice choices for drinks. I came in for some drinks and steak. The bartender Rachel is very sweet and knowledgeable. My steak was nice and juicy. Can't wait to go back.

Very disappointing!!! For the price you would expect better food!! The steak was very under cooked and three of us out of our party of 6 had to send back our steaks to cook them longer, we all ordered medium and the steaks were medium rare to blue. The baked potato was so burnt that the outside was shoe leather and I couldn’t even eat the skin and it wasn’t just mine, all 4 of our potatoes were burnt. The server even mentioned when taking my plate that they burnt the potato and not offer to make it right was given. With so many places to eat in downtown Memphis avoid this one!!!!

Superb!!! Wedge was awesome.... Steak was perfectly seasoned. The 2 cocktails (BB Queen and Strawberry Mojito) were very fresh. [email protected]

The pasta had no favor to be $26, I've had better at Apple Bee's, Chili's, and Olive Garden. My sister was dissatisfied with her food but it was going to take a while to make some more. Never going back, we went because it was my dad's birthday.
