The crew decided Mcalisters deli it was for lunch. I will say there were many of us, but they seemed backed up before we even ordered. Mar took the order I of course got the veggie sandwich no cucumbers extra onions as always, and some horseradish sauce. I had the potato salad this time, which I normally don't like. I did enjoy the sandwich and the potato salad. I was ok with it taking 30 minutes to get the food.
I'm here at 7:30 to place a carry out order. I was told by a young woman in the back that they're closed and not taking any orders. The sign posted on the door says the restaurant closes at 9. The Google post says 8. If the restaurant is closing at earlier times, the posted signs need to be updated.
The Reuben I ordered today had too much corned beef, not enough sauerkraut and was a tad bit dry! Usually the food is good.
If I could rate my experience a zero star, I would but in order to provide feedback, I have to click on 1-star. This location at Hacks Cross in Memphis, TN doesn’t deserve a 1-star. The manager who was taking order at the register on March 27, Sunday, was very rude and unprofessional. I placed my order online and the order was confirmed. I did not anticipate any problems at all, because my order was supposedly ready for pick up at 5:06pm. I came in the store at 5:16pm and there were two other customers in front of me so I patiently waited for my turn. The cashier/manager called on me and I told her I’m picking up an order and I told her my last name and what I ordered. She looked at her register, she said that she didn’t have my order. So of course, I was surprised and so I asked questions to find out what happened to it. She said it’s not in her register so there’s nothing that she could do. I checked my order on my phone and double-checked the location, and when I tried to show my phone to show her my confirmed order at that location, she rudely told me that she could not touch my phone. I didn’t ask her to touch my phone, I was just showing her my order. She insisted that she didn’t have my order and she refused to offer any help. I even asked her if she could find the order under my first name, but she looked at me and rudely said that she didn’t have my order and called on the next customer. I was appalled as to how she refused to offer any help or explanation. My payment went through, but it looked like I was not about to get what I paid for. While trying to figure out what happened to my order, a young man who appeared to be a server came to me and asked me about my order. He seemed hesitated to offer help at first because the same manager who didn’t offer any help kept on calling his attention to do something else. So I stayed in the store for few minutes as I tried to find out a phone number of McAllister to call, because nobody seemed to care about what happened to my order at that location. After few minutes, the same young man came back and told me that my order was on the shelf. I heard him telling the manager that he found my order, however she did not offer any apology or explanation at all. I remained calm and I just told myself that I would definitely leave a review for them. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
The cashier lady is always pleasant and nice, HOWEVER if I order my food online I should not have to wait in line every time for 10-15 minutes to pick it up. Defeats the purpose of ordering online and the pick up station. Especially when I'm on my lunch break and time is limited.
The African American man at the front counter was so well spoken and polite. I enjoyed my encounter with him. The food was delicious.
Worst location ive ever been to. Then 6 months later (last week) my boss order for the crew and food was messed and multiple meals and sides were missing
This was the best location prior to today 2/16/22. The young lady preparing food had her nasty cell phone in one hand and preparing food with the other. I'm sure she didn't change gloves after putting the phone down. The guy at the counter pulled the garbage bag out to empty it, then stopped to give me my pickup order. Let's just say I threw the entire order away and won't be returning.
Ordered them for a team meeting lunch. The food was good but order wasn't ready at the time they set and was missing a few items. But they did a great job at getting me the missing items quickly. So many thanks for that!
They desperately need more staff like everyone does but they was working and stayed calm and professional but helped everyone as quickly as possible.
