A gem in middle of Memphis. We were on our road trip and we were in search of something special from Indian cuisine. And Bingo !!!! Delicious south Indian delicacy along with North Indian curries. So so reasonable charges with Large portions. The owners and staffs were extra ordinary and so friendly. This will be my must visit restaurant when ever I am in Memphis. Guys give it a try. Dont miss it.To the Management and staff : Great job and Keep it up
Great food, But they don't seem to be interested in being in Business! Very SAD as their food is the best. They need to open up the inside seat down and be HAPPY to serve. They were turning away people this weekend with an EMPTY restaurant.
Did DoorDash! Said spicy but no spicy at all ! Amount of food deliver was like for 7 years old baby like so little amount on small pickles box ! Not worthWasted my money ! Go to hell
Giving 1 star because google won't allow me to leave it at 0. Not only the food is the worst Indian food I've had, they add extra 10% charge on your bill, ITEMIZED as 'side order (that you never ordered)' to accommodate the price increase in groceries. Why not just change your prices in the menu? How can they make it an item line on a bill. Don't know if that's even legal. On to the food part of the experience. I ordered veg biryani and my friend ordered Aloo sabzi dinner portion. I ended up getting yellow flavorless mix-veg rice. Biryani is not supposed to be yellow, and it's not supposed to have corn in it. There were no garam masala in it. And when I brought it up, the response I got from the chef was 'this is what we have been serving for the last 15 years.' May be people who have never had biryani are ok eating this yellow tasteless rice. The attitude of the staff and chef is absolutely appalling. My husband got potato filling used for masala dosa for his potato sabzi order. May be stick to ordering dosa, idli and vada. But if that's all they are going to serve well, why bother with a 7-page menu? The reviews of this place seems fudged, because it definitely does not deserve 4 star by any measure. Bottom-line: Do not waste your time and money on this place.
I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience here was so terrible that I want to prevent people from making the same mistake I did by going here in #MayuriindiancuisineHope they will improve their food and attitude.Simply avoid and find yourself another place.
The best naan bread in the world. And you get a lot of it. Great chicken. Huge portions. Best Indian in Memphis and I’ve had it all over the world.
Have been here about once a week for the last year. Can’t recommend it enough. Best food in Memphis, in my opinion. The food has complex flavor profiles and always delicious. The Tahli dinner has so much food, easily split between 2 people. The service is slightly limited by language barriers but the owner/server is always accurate when answering dietary/allergy questions and always accommodating. Looking forward to many more meals here.
Terrible attitude and food. The guy literally rolled his eyes at me when I asked for the check separated for two people. This place is not Indian food. I don't know what it is, but it's not Indian. Biryani doesn't get masala mixed into it, yet they do it here. Also, the "biryani" is identical to the rice you get at Walmart that you steam in the bag. It had the wrong vegetables in it and wasn't even cooked the way biryani is supposed to be cooked. It's like ordering stir fry and then they bake it instead. It shouldn't be yellow and it shouldn't have corn in it. This is easily the most disgusting Indian food I've ever had in my life.
My experience was absolutely terrible. I ordered a vegetable dish and there was a huge meat wad in it. I would think a vegetable dish would not include some unidentifiable meat wad in it. ?When I was paying for the meals I ordered, the man rolled his eyes at me when I told him I was excited to try their food. Some other woman, obviously related to the workers somehow, with several children, was giving me dirty looks and looking me up and down. The whole experience made me uncomfortable.Don't waste your time here.Golden India in Overton Square is better and won't include meat wads in their vegetable dishes. This place doesn't deserve 1 star.
This was the best Indian food I ever had. Waitress was super friendly as well
