Ribeye steak with housemade truffle fries and seasonal green beans. Crab stuffed Halibut with a lobster reduction and sautéed vegetables. Lamb satay with roasted chickpeas, Brussel sprouts with candied bacon. Cointreau infused creme Brulee with drunken blackberry. Chocolate lovers mousse with dark chocolate, toasted hazelnuts over chocolate espresso cream. ?????
It’s was a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing cocktails, wine, food, and service. For an appetizer, we enjoyed the Risotto Croquettes. And for dinner, I had the Stuffed Chicken, and my husband had the Fish Special - Pescado Maximo. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended Maximo's on Broad.
Maximo's is fantastic! Definitely one of our favorite date-night or out with friends place to eat! We feel like it's a hidden gem - if you haven't been here, do yourself a favor and check it out :)
My wife and I very much enjoyed our dinner here, it was our favorite place from our weekend visit. We got the seafood paella, filet mignon, raviolo, and the crème brûlée for desert. Our server was fantastic, and it was clear that they had many repeat customers which speaks to the quality of the experience. Not to mention it’s right across the street from a great coffee shop, City & State.
Terrific service. Just outstanding food was awesome. Wide selection of wine and liquor. Highly recommend.
So my birthday weekend has started out superbly. Tried a new place and the food and service was outstanding!!!! Our waitress told us this was the beginning of a beautiful relationship with them. And decided to celebrate to new beginnings. Loved it!!!
Excellent service and our Irish waitress was fantastic!!
I wanted to give the place more than 4 stars, but less than 5 stars - that’s no possible in the current setting, so gave it a 5 star!I have had the privilege to dine in a number of restaurants in Memphis but let me take this opportunity to say that Maximo's on Broad is a diner's delight. From the outside, the place might look like any other diner joint, but as soon as you enter the premises, you are embraced with an overwhelming gust of coziness. The quaint and dim lighting sets up the stage for a perfect and quiet date night and omg did I mention the coziness? Our hostess Lori instantly developed a connection with us as soon as we walked in by referring by our first names instead of a sir/mam (other restaurants take note!!!). Let me tell you they have an amazing collection of cocktails and for the uninspired, they also have local brews on draft. For our appetizer, we ordered the brandied shrimp from the tapas menu. The amazing texture of the dish took us by surprise with its sharp yet delicious sweet notes. For our main entree, we ordered the seafood paella and the chef's special Pescado Maximo (made with market-fresh fish of the day). The seafood paella, made with an assortment of mussels, shrimp, and scallops, is just the wholesome dish. The seafood stuff were fresh and plenty. The Pescada, on the other hand, topped with a bold lobster reduction and amazingly crispy yet soft veggies, flirts with your taste buds like an ardent lover who entices you in her stunning charms. The fish quality was absolutely top. In conclusion, I would like to reinstate that with its cozy charms and its bold flavors, this place just stands out like a proud monument on Broad Avenue.
Everything was delicious but the risotto croquettes were really good.
One of our favorite Memphis Midtown restaurants. Delicious food and service.
