Today my bartender was Tisha. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. I was having trouble deciding what to order in terms of food. I patronize this spot regularly, but wanted to try something new. I was stuck between the Bison Burger and the Duck Quesadilla. She spoke highly of both dishes but I ultimately chose the Bison Burger. I am glad to say that I made the right choice. The burger was flavorful and juicy. I washed it down with the awesome green tea shots Tisha made. I will definitely be spending more time here and money here.
Chose here for my birthday dinner after a long work day. The hostess was great, but that’s about where the good part ends. Wound up getting the steak; the mashed potatoes were cold and crunchy, the veggies were the best part, and the steak was essentially flavorless. Even the garlic butter on top was lacking. A total disappointment especially for a $36 price tag. I would have been better with the burger.
My husband loves the Local. He decided to go there one night to celebrate a Grizzlies game. He had the lobster cheese bread or something similar, but it had lobster in it. He came home and proceeded to be the sickest he's ever been from food poisoning, had the BEs and everything. They need an inspection on their seafood stat. 0/5 stars.
Subpar food subpar service. I had an issue with the 3% surcharge that is added to the bill for using my card. It should be listed on the door the same way the automatic 20% gratuity is posted on the door. Every restaurant in the area had a 45 minute wait time. Local didn't have a wait time. I should have took the hint. I paid extra for an incorrect order. I asked for my stuff to be on the side and they put it on the sandwich any way. It was my first time going and was my last time going. Do yourself a favor and skip Local.
They got rid of the only dish I loved. The mozzarella sticks!!! ????Must have them back. Also get a frozen Jameson's with an extra shot!
Never a let-down; had my usual oysters on-the-half shell, opted for a new entrée. Everything was exceptional, for a quick weekday night outStaff was phenomenal!
Do yourself a favor and just park on the garage. It’s free until 6pm. Brunch at Local was amazing. They didnt have bottomless mimosas on the menu anymore, but now it’s $5 mimosa, Bellini, Bloody Mary. Our appetizers were huge and great in taste as well (Spinach and Artichoke Queso Dip and Calamari). These appetizers are a bit on the spicy side with the sauces. For entree, we got the Eggs Robert Johnson and Brioche French Toast. With breakfast potato sides and bacon. The bacon is the perfect combination on sweet and savory. The Bellinis are delicious!Service was great, the environment is so welcoming at Local. Will definitely come back again!
A good place to watch the game, grab a drink at the bar & great food too! They also have an outdoor patio w/ a bar & several TV's for the ultimate outdoor dining experience!
The overall food was good but the amount of gratuity that was charged was unacceptable! If you are going to charge 20% for gratuity, then a nice warning up front would be nice! Then the fact that I paid over 20 bucks for gratuity and I was charged 50 cents for extra sauce is mind blowing! Then to top off the entire experience, I was charged 4 additional bucks for using my card! It is 2022 and no business should be charging anyone to use a card! I will definitely never patronize this business again!
I know they say that people only leave reviews when they have had a bad experience but it seemed worth sharing our disappointment with Local on the Square. We went to dinner there last night before a show at Lafayette’s. I can’t even say one good thing about the food. It was barely decent bar food for extremely high prices. We walked out of there and paid $150 for a soft pretzel, a meal for 3, a salad for 1, and two beers. They added gratuity for my family of four which seemed ridiculous and also a 3% credit card charge. I’m fine with paying higher prices for quality food but this was really bad. We will never go back. It’s too bad..when Local opened the food was great and it was unique. It’s not worn well.
