Solid four stars on the food, five stars for it being vegan. I had the Memphis BBQ sandwich and I thought the sauce was a little sweet but it was tasty, and the baked beans were unusual but some of the best I've had. Point off for the desserts though, vegan desserts are really hard to pull off. It can be done but I'd say leave it up to the vegan bakeries/dessert shops. Can't wait to go back and get the fish plate. One thing I'll add for the casual peruse is that this is 100% vegan comfort food, not a super granola earth foods vibe with kale and pumpkin seeds or whatever, it's heavy and delicious but not exactly calorie conscious.
Neat restaurant offering a nice selection of vegan soul food and local staples. All though a little on the sweet side, loved the coleslaw and BBQ beans as a side! You get breakfast items Saturday and Sunday 11am-3pm. The tofu scramble was too salty for our liking and hash browns seemed to be the ready made frozen ones but tasty. There are a few items on the menu that are or can be made gluten-free. Hope they’ll add more! None of the breakfast items can be made GF. The vegan fish stick is amazing. Service was very friendly.
Great vegan food, great service at the right price! Lots of GF options too and even eco-friendly takeout containers for the win! Wings, burgers, bbq, it's all here! Come check it out!
I come here every time I’m in town, usually multiple times, and always introduce new people to its charm too.No one else really does it like imagine; proper comfort food that’s always delicious. If I know an event won’t have vegan options I’ll swing by and grab a dessert, of which they always have a variety. They’ve recently started to offer apparel and local art which really shows a continued investment in the community. While I’ve never regretted my decision to move I can say with certainty this place is one of a kind whose equal I have not found.
I had a pretty good experience. I had a few small complaints, including the wait time for my food being a bit long (~30 minutes), the fries being over-seasoned, and the wings being a bit meh. Still a good restaurant I would recommend, though.
I’ve eaten here twice while passing through the area, and it is a stellar restaurant. Had the chicken and waffles the first time, and the buffalo chicken sandwich the second time. Both full of flavor with generous portions, and the staff are always kind.
This was my first time eating vegan. All I can say was Wow! Definitely please with the food. I could taste the flavor in every bite! Even the dessert was delicious! My wife could not believe it was vegan! Looking forward to eating there again!
Just helped my son move from Greensboro NC to Portland OR. This was our dinner on our first night of the drive. Fantastic menu. Not yet doing dine-in, so we had to get our food to go. Ordered the large vegan Memphis sandwich platter and the appetizer sampler. Way too much food for the two of us. This is one of the best vegan places I have ever eaten at. Really great attention to detail - texture, flavor, appearance. I highly recommend checking it out. Even if you eat meat.
I used to really love this place, but over the last couple of months, the quality has dropped tremendously. My last 3 orders were all missing things like sides or cheese on the burger, etc. I've also been sold cake with mold growing on the bottom, which I unfortunately didn't see before eating half of it. Emailed the manager to let them know quietly that their desserts need to be checked, and never received a response. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to come back here until they sort out whatever is going on.
Amazing vegan food with a wide range of options. We had the Buffalo wings and BBQ plate and we loved every bite! Will definitely eat here any time we're in the area
