My macaroni and broccoli was cold they bring me some more and it was frozen cold. The manager fixed it and it was hot and good the third time. The manager and waitress was real sweet and nice seem like they need more workers and help. I still gave a four stars because they cared and attempted to ask. Very nice people working here. Give them a chance because most restaurant employees wouldn’t of cared they would of got upset and angry. Honestly even though the food had to be fixed over the vibes and attitudes was ok for me.
My fiancé & I decided that we would take our 2 & 4 year old sons to eat breakfast. We went on Germantown pkwy thinking we would have great service eating in a clean environment but we were wrong we sat down anyway because of me stating that the food might taste great so let’s sit & eat. Walked into a nasty restaurant all the workers where sitting down nobody greeted us we stood there looking around for somebody to seat us. After being seated barely had anyone to make sure or to check to see if our service was going well. We asked for hot syrup with our order as soon as we received COLD syrup I looked to see something was floating in one of the plastic cup containers they provided. Our food looked and taste horrible it wasn’t hot with steam coming off it was room temperatured. We ordered the easiest thing to cook on the menu eggs bacon sausage & pancakes. We moved twice from the left side of the restaurant to the right side and both sides looked horrible. I cleaned my own table & chairs before sitting my babies there with hand sanitizer & baby wipes just so we would have somewhere clean to eat breakfast. Couldn’t even sit and finish our food didn’t even want to take a to go plate we left the food there after we picked over it. I would rate them a 0.. that location was HORRIBLE !!!!
Went there for a bite to eat with my daughter, as we were waiting for her Rehearsal for John Roberts Powers. Place was clean. Was seated with a couple of minutes. Waitress was polite and friendly, but her down fall was when she only bought me food, as my daughter clearly ordered too! However, what she assumed my child ordered was only a side order of fries, which is what she bought to the table along with my order!! And I am waiting for her to bring me condiments, when she returned and I still saw there was no food for my child, I had to bring it to her attention. She replied with she didn't know she ordered the tilapia dinner with two sides. All she heard my child order or was a side of fries. The side of fries, she did in fact order, but it was to be along with her dinner meal. Now I had to eat while my child watched and waited for her food to be served. Now she had to eat in a bit of a rush, due to it was almost time to leave to make it for prompt Rehearsal!!!
1st off It was COLD in there!I had to go out and get friends jacket for her to put on! Not many people there but service was still spotty to say the least. You just let someone's coffee cup get empty more that once... My order was perfect and delicious. Takeout / pickup orders were 3 to 1 as we sat by the rack they were stacked on.
I was seated in an inside area of the dining room in a booth. All of the window booths were taken. It needed to be swept badly! There were masks and napkins and food on the floor. Service was good, a little slow but our server was very nice.
The server was good, she was fast and pleasant friendly. However, the rookie cook must have been on duty this morning. I'm sure the menu read a fajita omelet comes with salsa. And cold pancakes???? I will be back at the end of March to see if anything is bettet.
I gave it 2 stars, because our waitress took forever to take our order, then once the order was placed it took almost 40mins to get it to us. The servers were outside admiring someone's car then they just forgot we were there. Once the food arrived and we were ready to go the server never came back to ask if we needed our ticket. Another person came gave us out ticket but took forever to take the payment.i just know I will go at a different time. We were there longer than expected and I should have just left. But my son wanted pancakes. Overall food was great just the service sucked
The service and food were good. The only issue was one very busy server. Seated by the front door and it was cold up there. She should have been seating customers near the kitchen, it would have been warmer and closer for her to run food and drinks to.
This is my families second trip to this location. Hands down the best one in Memphis. Britany (I hope I spelled this right) was AMAZING! Her Manager, who we learned was also the cook and was great! These two ladies ran the entire restaurant more efficiently than any other restaurant on Germantown parkway. IHOP I hope you read this, and show these ladies appreciation that they deserve. Good employees are hard to come by.
I try to be fair when reviewing a restaurant since I know the experience can differ from being short staffed, very very busy, short on supplies, etc. There have been times when this location's wait is kind of long, but that usually isn't a big problem. I love iHop and usually get not issue when I go to their many locations. With that being said this Germantown location does not live up to the reputation I am used to. I have gone to this location more than 5 times. Besides 1 time, this location has always got my group's order wrong especially when we order to-go. From burned pancakes, missing eggs, missing crepes, missing butter/syrup, do cream/fruit with the special crepes, etc. I tried seeing if the next visit would be better, but it isn't/wasn't. The redeeming quality is the sweet wait staff, but everything else is lacking. I will continue to go to iHop, but not this Germantown location.
