Went there for the first time today. Blah. Bland food, bland service, bland atmosphere. Not terrible but there are better places nearby with better food. Should have gone down the street to Swanky’s, Petra, or even One & Only. Next time I will.
People wise I would say great. The cashier was kind and helpful. He had a great mood and character. He said his name is Kingdom. He even made me chuckle because he said, “My name is Kingdom just like the scripture in the Bible. Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth just like it is in heaven.” Haha. His entire mood was awesome.Food wise its a pass for me. Tacos were not good at all. I tried so hard to like them but everything was off. I advise do not get them… at least not the chicken tacos. It had supposedly grilled chopped chicken, cabbage, and a special sauce inside of flour tortillas. The flour tortillas weren’t cooked. They chopped cabbage was not appealing and the *special sauce* they put on it was especially nasty. The chicken had a weird look and taste from grill. It had a scorched and unclean taste. Maybe the grill was not cleaned properly. I experienced allergy from potential cross contamination because I have seafood allergy. The seasoned rice was good and the black bean salsa. My moms salmon however looked good and she said she enjoyed it. I guess it’s a hit or miss place, hence the 3 stars.
After reading the reviews I was quite excited. I was very disappointed once I got my meal. I got 3 tacos (2 fish and 1 shrimp). There were 2 shrimp in the taco and next no fish in the other. It was mostly slaw. The “grilled” zucchini was barely cooked and definitely not grilled. This was my first peri peri experience so I wasn’t sure what to expect but the food was quite bland. The tea was old and the service was rude.
I was looking for a healthy food spot for when I’m too busy to prepare my meals. Came here and picked up blackened catfish, rice and side salad it was seasoned good and fresh. I also got grilled chicken, asparagus and rice it was good as well. I will be coming back
Absolutely delicious food!!! If you are watching your health, this would be a great place to frequent. The food comes with a good amount of seasoning, so please keep that in mind when ordering. My favorites are the salmon with yellow rice and sweet potato slices. The breadsticks are always good, and the Brussel sprouts were amazing during my last visit. The inside is clean and nice for dine-in, and taking the food home will still be just as good as when eaten fresh! I could say more, but overall, come here, eat here, and enjoy.
Food is great but the silverware is nasty and cloudy with smudges. I requested plastic ware. This has happened before.
I just moved to the Germantown area. This is one of the places that was referred to me to try. What a treat! I love the fried catfish with fried shrimp dinner. A must place to eat!
