Huey’s is known for its beer, burgers and for the guitar picks on the ceiling.Customers used to throw the pics up to the ceiling so they would stick to it. Unfortunately this tradition stopped during the pandemic and it has been discontinued just to be on the safe side (insurance and all).We came to the midtown location because the downtown location was packed. Midtown was busy also.We had the bluff city burger and the sunshine burger. Bluff city comes with bacon, onion straws, BBQ sauce on a Kaiser roll while the sunshine burger comes with mushrooms and has an over medium fried egg with bacon.As sides we got French fries and the tater tots.Service, even though the place was busy, was friendly. Our waitress was knowledgeable and brought our food out in a timely manner.I can see myself going back to try the other burgers.
Answered no to the recommendation question but honestly, this was my first terrible experience at Huey’s Southwind. I’ve lived in this area for the past 2 years and have always loved the service. Our server is usually a taller dark haired girl with black glasses, but this time we got the short haired blonde in copper glasses. We arrived around 9 pm, the server walked up and asked about drinks, she took mine and my friends order and then turned to my boyfriend to tell him to wash his hands, he laughed and did it bc he just got done working a 9 hour shift at his body shop job, so obviously his hands were filthy. He washed his hands and she came back to get his drink order (assuming that’s what she was doing) and then told him to hold his hands out and poured and ungodly amount of hand sanitizer on his hands… pretty rude. I was a server for 4 years in midtown and would never think to act like that towards a customer. She took our orders and I asked if I could have loaded tots and she told me I couldn’t have it as a side, which I understood. then I asked for just cheese and she told me no, and again I understood. I ended up asking for regular tots and then I got my food with sweet potato fries. After I told the food runner I had tater tots instead of sweet potato fries, our server avoided us completely. She checked on all of the other tables and blatantly ignored us for 25 min. We eventually had to stop another server to ask for her. She gave us the checks and charged me for the tots and sweet potato fries. The tots ended up getting taken off. But as my many years in the service industry, I’ve never experienced such rude service. Anytime we go back from now on, I will definitely be requesting another server if we get this certain server. Also the hand sanitizer move was EXTREMELY unprofessional. I’ve tried to call the place a couple of times and no answer and mailbox full.
If you want your car broke into with no help from staff, this is your place! Seems to be a common theme at this restaurant. Food sucked, staff sucked. Seems like employees are involved in the break ins. If you are from out of town, stay clear if this poopshoot.
Nice place to grab a bite! We had lunch on our visit. Staff was friendly and the food was yummy!! We started with chips and queso and they were delish! My husband had the fish and chips and he was pleased, I had chicken and pineapple kabobs with sweet potato fries. I wasn’t crazy about the kabobs, but I loved the fries! Give this place a try!
Huey's Midtown is not just great food but the atmosphere is top notch! The staff is amazing. We had a large party and had a bit of a wait. After all it was a Friday night. But the hostess did a fantastic job. Our server and other wait staff always made sure we had what we needed. The manager even stopped by to check on us and apologize for the wait. Huey's Midtown is a definite stop if you are ever in Memphis!

Food was passable, drinks were okay. Service was very good. We got burgers which were average. Appetizers of fried mushrooms, runny, and chips and queso, runny. Overall, not worth the money
Had dinner at Huey's Midtown last night and I definitely enjoyed the food. I'm not a big ranch eater unless it's homemade or house ranch so 5 stars for the ranch alone. The cheese fries were fresh, hot and yup delicious! The club sandwich was amazing, couldn't eat it all though so I had that boxed up to go. Oh don't mind the ranch on the picture of the fries, it was delicious so I had to dig in. Oh my server Hamsley was awesome, I nicknamed him Jake from State Farm!!
Amazing,fun experience. We used to live in Southaven and usually only visit at the one in Southaven but we were on a trip and in Memphis we will definitely absolutely go back to this location! Great service, great food,good drinks. Plus the merchandise is cute and reasonably priced.
I don't know how many times I have eaten at Huey's Midtown. It is a great place to take the family for burgers and fun. It is also a nice place to get drinks to unwind after work. The food is always delicious, the drinks cold, and the service is excellent.
